Pixies still not sold out, in fact, you can still get floor seats for Tue/Wed. Last time around, they sold out 8 shows in seconds.

As the old saying goes:

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2009 12:31 PM

"row D first mezz baby!!"

You are excited for those seats? Really?!?

The problem with the Pixies shows and ticket sales imho is that there will be little set diversity each night. They are playing Dolittle in its entirety plus the 4 or five B-sides. Thats about 19 songs. What's the encentive of going multiple nights if you are gonna hear the exact same setlist every night?

Now if they booked five shows at hammerstien playing one of their records (including the purple tape) per night, then you'd see the shows sell out in seconds.

the pixies shows are end of november, they will sell, people are on vacation, who's thinking about thanksgiving?

saw YYY open for Devo at summer stage, karen was ON that night...

saw YYY at maccarren pool with sonic youth...

radio city for rock and roll, don't feel it, too much carpet...

The 8 Pixies shows did not sell out in "seconds" last time. There was also a lot longer time between those shows and the previous time they had played. Who cares if they sell out in a day or minutes? The show I saw was great, if anything they were tighter than when I had seen them in the 90's.

ob-meh: ticketmehster sucks

The fact that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sold out proves how sheepish people are in Brooklyn. There all about image, posture, and that NYC brand phony crap.

sufjan soldout already???

Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2009 11:10 AM

wow, all four sujan shows already sold out? although ticketmaster says other tickets may become available later? fuck. ticketmaster.

You are excited for those seats? Really?!?

Posted by Teeth Whitening | August 21, 2009 4:51 PM

The reason the seats go quickly is that the record label and management company purchase blocks and gift them out. That's why you're left with nothing......
