Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:08 PM
No no no please not 21+
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:10 PM
awesome!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:10 PM
hopefully Brooklyn Bowl can wrangle a few more bartenders than they had on Friday... they were clearly understaffed for a packed house. otherwise the seaport/bk bowl show was great.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:10 PM
21+ please. more space for me!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:11 PM
better line up now.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:11 PM
no 21+! come on! pool parties are all about being free and all ages!
fucking 21+ bullshit. it's totally gonna be.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:12 PM
How the fuck could they even consider making it 21+
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:13 PM
21+ sounds niceeeee :)
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:13 PM
brooklyn bowl is way too small for the number of people that want to see this show
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:13 PM
hey kids, relax.
having the show 21+ is better than not having it at all. consider that the venue is probably bound by certain legal constraints that prevent them from letting in kids under 21. it's not that they just don't like you.
or maybe they just don't like you.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:14 PM
what is the capacity?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:14 PM
"brooklyn bowl is way too small for the number of people that want to see this show"
Not if it's 21+! Send the kids home!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:15 PM
21+ would eliminate a good amount :]
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:15 PM
having the show 21+ is NOT better than not having it all you fucker, because it means that tons of people who likes these bands won't fucking get in. you asshole.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:15 PM
brooklyn bowl is always 21+, except for weekends during the day. i dont know if 7pm counts as the day. and its 600 capacity. this shall be an interesting evening.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:16 PM
"Not if it's 21+! Send the kids home!"
then we'll have to send dan deacon and no age with them.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:16 PM
more 21 plus, more drinking customers. that is bullshit if you ask me. make it all age or bust.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:16 PM
62+ pleeze!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:18 PM
ALL AGES.
Posted by brooklynvegan | August 2, 2009 3:18 PM
The Bowl holds around 600 I think. I assume Jelly will be honoring VIP passes for this thing?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:19 PM
SHIT SHOW!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:19 PM
NO AGE
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:19 PM
what VIP passes?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:20 PM
was the show on friday 21+?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:20 PM
NO ALL AGE! MEH!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:21 PM
laaaaaameeeee going to have to punch some kids in the face to get to the bar.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:21 PM
Best news I've heard all day. :)
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:21 PM
dammit all ages! seriously might leave now to get in.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:22 PM
Nobody reads Brooklynvegan during the weekends right?
Should be easy to get in right?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:26 PM
doesn't matter if it's 21+. no one's getting into this show anyway.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:27 PM
im leaving right now...suckers
Posted by czar | August 2, 2009 3:29 PM
pool parties twitter has only 690 followers so you got a shot. seriously. you figure half the followers are just spammers.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:30 PM
I'm outside the bowl now..biked here from the pool...there's about 20-30 people on line already
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:31 PM
back on?
Haha it'll probably clear up.. Look guys state parks make the decisions.less than a minute ago from Twitterrific
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:31 PM
why is that?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:31 PM
are you lying?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:32 PM
I'm inside. Sound is amazing. No rage killed it
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:33 PM
going from 6,000 capacity to 600 means you're out of luck.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:34 PM
Still at Brooklyn Bowl for now.
Posted by brooklynvegan | August 2, 2009 3:36 PM
it's not even supposed to rain the rest of the day.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:37 PM
any idea if VIP still stands? what's the deal, jelly?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:37 PM
21+ would be great. Less people.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:38 PM
hey, i just got back from the future and I was one of the few who got into the show. it was a pretty good show. especially when dan deacon turned into a giant robot space ship at the end and flew deerhunter and no age back to their secret fortress on the moon. it would have looked better on the water front, but it was cool how they flew out through the ceiling. too bad for the brooklyn bowl......
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:38 PM
It wasn't going to be a full pool party anyways.
With APW going on and the weather, I have a feeling it won't be as big of a shit storm as you think.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:38 PM
As long as it's 18+ it's okay with me. I don't want to get arrested or anything.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:40 PM
so fucken retarded. forecast said a window between 4 and 7 and now sun is coming out. go look on weather channel. fucken state park people...
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:43 PM
they are claiming 1200 cap today...
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:49 PM
when to go? anyone?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:49 PM
to be honest I think they have to stick with this decision. they can't be jerking people around back and forth. that being said if this was at the pool the show would have went on as planned. remember TV on the Radio?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:51 PM
is this really getting moved? EPIC FAIL IMO
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:52 PM
VIP list will NOT be honored.
Posted by un:ART:ig | August 2, 2009 3:53 PM
Definitely moved. No VIP for this show.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:53 PM
how about a 21+ show afterward at market hotel
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:54 PM
go there now and reserve a lane, its usually a 2-3 hr wait so it work out quite nicely.
i'd go but my girl just found out she's preggers and need to change that ASAP. trying to convince her to wait a day...
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:55 PM
"i'd go but my girl just found out she's preggers and need to change that ASAP. trying to convince her to wait a day..."

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:57 PM
market hotel is all ages dickwad
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:58 PM
WOAH!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 3:59 PM
5-600 hundred now? fuck.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:00 PM
yeah shut the fuck up with this 21+ business.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:00 PM
yo wedding crashers is on.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:02 PM
yeah state parks. diff rules
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:03 PM
let's go have a 21+ after party in a uhaul truck parked in an alley way in ridgewood and we can all get preggers. it will be awesome.
Posted by hamburglar | August 2, 2009 4:03 PM
Anon 4:02. IT JUST ENDED.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:03 PM
how can APW go on with the rain and pool parties move indoors to a space with 10% the capacity?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:04 PM
5-600 hundred what?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:04 PM
just walked past the brooklyn bowl and the line is already two blocks long. they're turning people away if your name starts with a vowel.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:04 PM
anon 3:55 ^^^^^ You sir, get the BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY AWARD! Brilliant.
Would only go to see Deerhunter but majority are gonna be kids there to see Dan Deacon....... like 7 out of 10. Would have to wear a helmet or something.
Posted by b.LOUD | August 2, 2009 4:04 PM
Incredibly stupid and against the spirit of the Pool Parties to move this indoors and to the Brooklyn Bowl. Brooklyn Bowl must be really connected to get all this high demand shows moved into their venue so they can make all the money off beer sales. Door man and bartenders were complete morons/pricks on Friday night - if you were there, you know. Just a terribly disappointing situation all around.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:07 PM
5-600 hundred capacity
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:10 PM
Where else would they do this on such short notice? What is a 'backup' for a 6,000 capacity show? Madison Square Garden? It was probably either this or no show at all.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:11 PM
bartenders were assholes last sunday at the after party as well.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:11 PM
From the Brooklyn Bowl site:
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Soft launch: 21+ only :: Weekend days will be all-ages once extended hours begin.
This is not super clear...
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:14 PM
"Where else would they do this on such short notice? What is a 'backup' for a 6,000 capacity show? Madison Square Garden? It was probably either this or no show at all."
i hear mccarren pool is pretty empty these days.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:15 PM
Would be great if they got shut down because of age problems. Motherfuck Brooklyn Bowl - Williamsburg doesn't need an overpriced boutique bowling alley in the middle of a recession. Gross.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:15 PM
except for the bodies
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:16 PM
dan is playing a late show with necking at dba, maybe. anyone heard anything about this?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:17 PM
looking outside my window at the sunny day i'm thinking, "what a great evening to go see this show on the waterfront." damn man, i was really looking forward to this. whatever happened to patience? they couldn't have set up the back up plan but waited to make the final call until 4:30 when the show as going to start for real anyway?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:18 PM
my oh my what a beautiful fucking day it is
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:18 PM
it's pretty hilarious if you've been following jelly on twitter.
so they move the show and claim the new space can fit up to 1200 people. we know it fits about 500. jelly comes back a few minutes later not knowing it was so small. and realizes it could be a disaster tonight.
it really amazes me that jelly is still around. though it probably won't be for much longer, given their mass burn rate.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:19 PM
Drove by the park on kent @ 330 & there was easily 250-300 people ( mostly 21. & under) waiting in the rain. Love No Age, but I dont need the hassel. Oh look it's the sun....
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:19 PM
can't they just fucking reschedule
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:19 PM
Show is all ages, 1250 capacity.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:19 PM
Anon 4:19 You are fucking wrong. Stop posting unsubstantiated information.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:22 PM
hahahah at rescheduling. it's not that easy, rere
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:24 PM
4:22, I am right, but I don't care if you don't believe me.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:25 PM
If youre reading this and you are not inside, you are not getting in.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:26 PM
um. check the pool party twitter. it seems pretty legit to me.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:27 PM
if jelly were smart, they'd charge ten bucks for this. they'd make some cash back, and all the freeloaders wouldn't show.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:29 PM
i heard they're still going to have dodgeball only using bowling balls instead.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:34 PM
screw this i'm going to go see van atta high at the school of rock in south hackensack, nj
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:35 PM
I heard APW is being moved to The Gutter.
Has anyone else heard that?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:36 PM
The line for B Bowl is already 3 blocks long. And it looks like a line to the 8th grade prom. 98% of the people are under 21. So what is it then? 21+ or not?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:41 PM
The recent sunshine must be a total slap in some promoter's faces. Boy...Mother Nature sure is making sport of music fans this weekend!
Posted by blackhat | August 2, 2009 4:41 PM
just heard its being moved to webster hall at 8pm. 21+
Posted by truth | August 2, 2009 4:44 PM

Can someone link me?
I can't find it..
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:45 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:46 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:48 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:48 PM
I just spoke to some people. Its being moved to Petes Candy Store. Im on my way. Ill keep you informed.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:49 PM
the complete clusterfuck that this has become makes friday night's polvo/obits show that much better in retrospect.
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:53 PM
yeah, the phone "died."
meaning "this is a complete disaster, i'm turning my shit off so i can get wasted and not deal with it."
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 4:54 PM
So...after reading this board would you agree that it's a good bet I won't get in even with my wristband assuming I start walking now?
Posted by wearing sunglasses | August 2, 2009 5:03 PM
yeah, so uh, anything else goin on this afternoon?
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 5:04 PM
Just got my first beer. Lots of hot little girls and lame little dudes. Gettin' laid tonight!
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 5:04 PM
Do you need wristbands to get into 10pm show??? Anyone there know??
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 7:29 PM
now it's raining inside Brooklyn Bowl. they're sending everyone back to the waterfront. need wristbands on ankles
Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2009 7:56 PM
