Tegan & Sara

That above picture is the cover for the forthcoming Tegan & Sara album, Sainthood, due out October 27th on Vapor Records. The record is being produced by Chris Walla (of Death Cab and many producing credits) and Howard Redekopp (who's worked with New Pornographers, Mother Mother, and others) - interesting in that they've both worked on past Tegan & Sara individually.

The pair (Tegan and Sara) have a few shows scheduled at the moment. Two of those will happen at NYC's Town Hall on October 30th and 31st (Mischief Night and Halloween). Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am.

Tiestoremixed Tegan & Sara's track "Back in your Head" in 2007. Now the three have collaborated again on "I Feel it in My Bones," a song that'll be included on Tiesto's new album, Kaleidoscope, out October 20th on Ultra Records. That song is streaming on his MySpace. Also guesting on the Tiesto album will be Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party, Emily Haines of Metric, and others. Full tracklist is below.

Tiesto is going on a pretty big tour that kicks off with three nights at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Tickets for those shows (9/24-9/26) are on sale now. All dates, the Tegan & Sara album back cover and tracklist, and more, below...

I'm in Tegan and Sara heaven... from the bowery presents site, I am seeing an on-sale of "AT NOON" rather than the 10 AM that you list above....hmmm.

What happened to their super cool mullets?

I dig these girls.

Are they really in their late 20's though? I'm only crushing on lesbians, and not underage lesbians, right??

Tegan and Sara borrowed Telepathe's wardrobe for this photoshoot

Tegan and Sara's songs make me sad and cry. They're really good.

Tegan and Sara's songs are really great with their captivating songs

Completely horrid paint-by-numbers pop. The only reason anyone gives a shit about these two is 'cause they're hot chicks.

6:42, thank you for your concise, yet entirely inaccurate perspective.

that picture conjures images of the bitte orca album cover. and they are better than most of the pop acts out there if you just accept that its what they do

I love Tegan and Sara and am very excited for Sainthood. Although I find it interesting that so many people on this post have negative things to say, and that they're all anonymous. Obviously not all music is for everyone, so if you don't like them, why even read about them? Just seems kind of pathetic.

I ♥ Tegan and Sara, they're music is great and really compelling, i aslo think that the anonymous posters should stop adding negative energy onto the site. It's your loss for not loving them, and you are not forced to like them, so leave your negativity at the door, and educate us. Since according to you, we're missing something.

I am still picking up a strong "noon" vibration.

Everywhere in the LV, a bit mean!

Incest is best for these Canuck PC bores. Are they the new CocoRosie or are CocoRosie the old Tega and Sara?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2009 3:59 PM

Saw this show and it was bad. All Ages show It was all 15 year old girls with a lot of singing-along. And Tegan and Sara talked endelessly about crap (how they have universal health care in Canada, how NYers dress up nicely, how they felt when they wrote a particular song). I mean, some God-awfull crap, in between almost every song.
