Members of the broken up USA Is a Monster and the always-gigging Talibam! play at Zebulon, while Death By Audio (soon to be a maze) hosts Why I Must Be Careful, Father Figures and Period, a group that consists of Mike Pride and Charlie Looker (both on the schedule for the maze) with Chuck Bettis and Darius Jones.
Cross-Pollination at Pianos features "Mancino, Nyle (rapper with a full band, and with Donny Goines who just headlined Gramercy) and Israel Darling (from north carolina)."
Sidewalk Cafe's Antifolk Festival continues with sets from M. Lamar, Herb Scher & The Librarians, Joe Crow Ryan and more.
Bonnie Raitt & Taj Mahal are at NJPAC tonight. Tomorrow they play a Celebrate Brooklyn show at Prospect Park.
Kumail Nanjiani (of Michael and Michael Have Issues and The Colbert Report and NYC and other places) headlines tonight at Comix.

Good show this evening -- I saw Kanye and Amber Rose (plus bodyguard) near me, they watched most of the set and the first song of the encore, before ducking out in hoodies.

gang gang dance were absolutely great when I saw them last weak, fricking epic. which is a lot more than i can say for tv on the radio, they bored the shit out of me when they were in my town.
