Kurt Vile is at the top of the heap right now. Awesome stuff, and getting both Blues Control and Birds of Maya on the bill is a no-brainer in terms of attendance.

"R.I.P. Jim Dickinson.
You will be missed, sir."
I hadn't heard that. The production on Big Star's "Third", Alex Chilton's "Flies to Sherbert", and The Replacement's "Pleased to Meet Me" are the gold standard of crumbling power pop. Not to mention the fact he played piano on the Stones' "Wild Horses" and Dylan's "Love Sick". What a loss.

ANAVAN!!!!! at pianos. get with it! these guys are amazing, cut from the same cloth as Health, Mae Shi, etc.

i love how everyone always talks about the midwest and trust funds. the only people i ever meet that have trust funds are from ny and ct. seriously, people in the midwest are broke and unemployed.
