A Storm of Light's new video off their new album (out this week) ++ Battle of Mice call it quits
by Black Bubblegum
A Storm Of Light

It's been less than 18 months since their first one, and A Storm of Light (mems. Neurosis, ex-Tombs) are already venturing toward album two with Forgive Us Our Trespasses, out Tuesday (9/22) via Neurot Recordings. The album features contributions from Jarboe, Lydia Lunch and many others. The band is currently streaming "Midnight" at their MySpace but hasn't let any other tracks slip out... until now! BrooklynVegan is proud to present the US premiere of the video for "Tempest", available exclusively below!
So far A Storm of Light has only one US date on their calendar, a FREE album release show at Ace of Clubs on 10/12 joined by Biclops and Naked Heroes! After that, Josh & the boys hop on a plane to tear a hole in the space-time continuum at the Damnation Festival before embarking on a European tour with the mighty Minsk.
In related news, Graham's critically acclaimed project Battle of Mice has, not surprisingly, called it quits. The band, which included Julie Christmas of Made Out of Babies as well as members of Dub Trio released the statement is below:

Battle of Mice

RESTWe recently discussed the current status of Made Out of Babies.
Battle of Mice is dead. After two critically acclaimed releases, Battle of Mice has been officially and amicably dissolved. Never before has the story of a violent, interpersonal flameout been so aurally documented. It was intense while it lasted, but we should all be thankful that the band has ended; not with a bang, but with a whimper.
What the future holds:
The full length vinyl may still make an appearance sometime next year. We are waiting for the final word on that one.
Julie Christmas is currently working on a solo record, be on the lookout. The record features almost an entirely different lineup on each song, featuring many special guests.
Josh Graham's new band, A Storm of Light, has a new release coming out September 2009. The record is called Forgive Us Our Trespasses, and features Jarboe, Nerissa Campbell, Lydia Lunch, and more.
Joel Hamilton and Tony Maimone are both working on the next Book of Knots record.
Both are recording madmen as well. Joel recorded and plays on A Storm of Light's record, and just finished recording the new Black Keys album.Joe Tomino has been on tour with his band Dub Trio, as well as playing with many others including Mike Patton.
That is about it.
Be Well. Sleep and Dream.
Battle of Mice 2005 - 2009"
Josh Graham sat down for an interview with us early last year. We interviewed Scott Kelly of a band Josh does visuals for, Neurosis, earlier this year. Scott Kelly's other band Shrinebuilder plays NYC on 11/15.
