The scene of the crime (via Bridge & Tunnel Club)

BrooklynVegan and Chronic Youth (the people behind the recent secret Weedeater show) are proud to present.... well.... I can't say! What I can say is that on September 25th, one band that the hardcore faithful have waited a looong time to see will team up with another very influential band for one show at The Charleston. Both bands are also headlining other shows in NYC on the same night. One date. Two bands. Three shows. One that they're both playing at the Charleston.
The first band recently resurrected, despite having already undergone an Autopsy. The second band is what you might call Hellboy if he was born out of wedlock. Save the date.. More clues on the flyer below.
BrooklynVegan is also proud to sponsor Burnt By The Sun/Tombs/Black Anvil/Bloodhorse at Cake Shop on 10/2, Woe/Aluk Todolo/Malkuth/Castevet at Union Pool on 10/4, and Shrinebuilder @ Le Poisson Rouge on 11/15 (tickets here)! We will be giving away tickets to ALL of these shows, so look out!
Shrinebuilder is currently streaming a new track at their myspace.

I would say "Boo hoo I'm already seeing Yo La Tengo that night" but I have a sneaking suspicion that one of the bands is Yo La Tengo...

WAIT I KNOW!!
Rorschach (who is playing at Santos Party House), that's the New Jersey band (sadly, I don't think it's Yo La Tengo—the other clue matches Rorschach better, much better)
Now the second one...

If it's any of these bands in that tiny basement, I'll be there. Why can't it be Born Against?
Posted by Anonymous | September 18, 2009 9:40 PM
I think it's pretty dumb to book two bands that are already playing two not sold-out shows, possibly taking away from their draw, and on the same night as the ceaselessly amazing DESTROYER 666
Posted by LA BRUJA | September 19, 2009 8:29 PM
Destroyer 666 is 9/28. Ths show is 9/25
Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2009 9:09 PM
I thought it was weedeater..
Posted by Anonymous | September 21, 2009 10:56 AM
Autopsy was a Rorschach record and the other clue is really obvious as well.
See you there.

The song is pretty bad when it's all said and done, and that has NOTHING to do with how old they might be.

Great news! I really appreciate this. I would love to watch the show too. When's the next big event?
