12 million bucks. What a bargain. Seriously thats under 40 thousand per acre, including some of the finest accomodations ever designed by man.

God I hope those creepy shacks by the parking lot are included.

This place could also make the most amazing haunted hotel attraction.

Kutscher's must not be destroyed.

huge bargain, as long as the price includes the haunted playground and the abandoned ski lifts

My trust fund is only half that...does any cute thin hipster boy want to go half with me on it? Japanther can record up'd be stellar.

Anyone else get sick from being there over the weekend?

Posted by deezey | September 17, 2009 8:13 AM

minor cold. nothing terrible. the singer from autolux got sick too.

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2009 9:03 AM

You didn't get sick from Kutsher's, you got sick from 3+ days of partying hard, being on your feet all day, and being around 2000+ strangers. Very sad to hear this and hoping it doesn't affect next year's ATP plans.

I'll give you $30 and a LiveNation passport.

"BV Resort and Hotel". In addition to great music, use the grounds to raise organic crops and other healthful goodies.

Posted by drewo | September 17, 2009 10:26 AM

its probably been for sale for the last 10 years

Posted by Anonymous | September 17, 2009 10:38 AM

$12MM is a lot for a parcel of land containing a "resort" that probably wouldn't come within a country mile of passing building inspection, and which should be immediately condemned and destroyed. Now, I love Kutschers as much as the next guy, and perhaps parts of some of the structures are repairable (the entire roof and all of the carpeting, furniture, and upholstrey need to be torn out. burned, and replaced), but the resort has largely been destroyed by decades of neglect.

In the room where the Soft Focus taping was done, the vinyl backs of the curtains had disintegrated, and piles of dust and chunks were left on the floor. My guess is that it's been that way for a decade, which is good indicator of the general maintenance schedule.

Did anyone see the boiler room facility behind the production offices? Holy christ...

This is a great resort. It's really beautiful even from a distance? Why does the owner want to sell it?

Posted by louis | October 17, 2009 12:50 PM

man spent some of the best days in my life there...

Perhaps if I check for lose change down the sofas I might be able to scrape together a few dollars. Mmm, I'll only be $11,999,997 short! LOL.

My family used to go there for years/generations..I'm glad it's for sale because it needs to be revived.

Posted by Deb | June 12, 2010 8:03 AM

At this price, even the child could tell you that this is a total bargain. Only the buildings of the resort are worth more than this! It saddens me that this downwards trajectory in our economy has forced the owners to simply give it away.
