Rumors of an all-ages Myopenbar.com party with Todd P in Bushwick with Screaming Females, Jeff The Brotherhood, Sisters and some other secret act.

Saturday, the 24th.

Enough already with the Screaming Females. They're good at what they do, but they aren't really breaking any new ground, the singer leans on the same melodies over and over again, and everything on their new record blends into each other. Maybe I just don't get punk music. Who knows. I mean, I get the appeal of a diminuitive, shred happy, female singer who can handle the guitar, but can people stop acting like they're the best band in the world...please!

their bassist sucks, saw them at MHOW and thought it was lame...big deal, shes small, plays guitar, and sounds like an ape

"their bassist sucks"

Um, most bassists today suck. Name a decent one, besides Mike Watt, who's in a BV rated indie band and not some fusion/prog rock/dream theater band. The only role of a bassist these days is to add low end to a bands sound. Skill is not a requisite

LOL!
I'm not sure if that's a defense or a further indictment.

I made the original comment about the bassist, if you are behind the beat in every song and your the rhythm section...then you suck. I can't wait till there is a shift in music and actual musicianship makes you a good band, not how well you press buttons on your stupid computer. The bassist from My Morning Jacket actually plays the bass, theres a good one.

haha, you guys are all so pathetic. how many of you bass critics are obviously bass players in go-nowhere brooklyn bands?
