any idea what kind of setlist this'll be? a throwback or new stuff?

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 10:45 AM

weak weak weak weak weak.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 10:47 AM

Definitely will be a special setlist since its Halloween (I wonder what they will be dressing up as....) show and they haven't played a place like Hammerstein (capacity wise) in awhile.

No Floor tickets yet?

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 10:51 AM

no one rocks like METROPCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When are people going to give up on Weezer? Seriously, they haven't done anything credible since Matt Sharp left the band. STOP THE PRESS!

Posted by Buzz Toast | September 29, 2009 10:55 AM

Nuts...we need MMW on Halloween!

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 11:05 AM

Agreed, 10:55a.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 11:36 AM

"Nuts...we need MMW on Halloween!"

huh huh... He said "nuts".

The only thing that would remotely be interesting about Weezer is if they did the Goat Punishment thing and covered Nirvana songs or something. They suck so much balls since Matt left. I concur.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 1:21 PM

Weezer is going to dress up as a band who hasn't sucked since their second album.

some emo kid is crying cos he already got tickets to see the get up kids on halloween

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 2:20 PM

i would go if tickets were like 10 dollars not 37. bulllllshit

Posted by hillary | September 29, 2009 2:58 PM

Though they haven't done anything remotely interesting since Pinkerton, Weezer was surprisingly excellent at VFest a few weeks ago.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 3:06 PM

"surprisingly excellent" as in "they lit themselves on fire", or as in "they only played crap from the first two records"? ...tell me you enjoyed watching them sing 'beverly hills', i'll wait.

Blog posts about Weezer are sad. I'd rather read about Taylor Swift.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 3:14 PM

FUCK WEEZER. This concert should only be for Matt and Kim. If Weezer wasn't performing, I'd totally go.

Posted by Gina | September 29, 2009 3:21 PM

I'd go for Matt & Kim and then leave before Weezer.

M&K at the Hammerstein just seems wrong

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 5:04 PM

"M&K at the Hammerstein just seems wrong"

Hammerstein is the least of their wrongs at this point

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 5:08 PM

these bands embody everything that's lame about the music industry. and the pairing of the two, simply pathetic.

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 5:13 PM

No one said anything about wanting to go!

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 5:18 PM

Awww, shit. I was really looking forward to see M&K, but Weezer (and the subsequent $37 tag) ruins this. Seriously.....Weezer blows.

Posted by Matt | September 29, 2009 5:45 PM

i wonder if matt and kim will be nekkid like that video and weezer will dress up like the red album, the suspense is killing me, these bands deserve each other

Posted by Anonymous | September 29, 2009 6:19 PM

will they play beverly hills?

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2009 1:27 AM

I can't believe I'm actually considering going to this. I just really want to see what they're going to do, it has to be something special. Like just playing Blue and Pinkerton and then walking off stage.

Sigh, if only ...

are these things usually packed?

Posted by louis | October 17, 2009 12:54 PM

Wow, this site is a goddamn snarkfest.

Set times for tonight?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2009 2:17 PM

PT Walkley is easily the worst performer I have ever seen in my life.

Posted by Anonymous | November 1, 2009 1:32 PM

Weezer ruled because they played a shitton of Blue and Pinkerton songs. Then they brought up Leighton Meester to the sighs of most everyone in the place. Why walk that line of awesome and horrible all the time, Weezer?

Posted by Anonymous | November 1, 2009 3:03 PM

How would a young Latino address Leighton Meester's father? "Meester Meester"?

Posted by Anonymous | November 1, 2009 3:45 PM

if they played mostly blue album and pinkerton, they must know their new albums are shite

Posted by Anonymous | November 1, 2009 4:13 PM

whats a three letter word for sour grapes? ...no, stalker has 7 letters... try again....

Posted by anonymous | November 1, 2009 10:53 PM

PT Walkley is awesome (as a person as well as an artist) and this debut solo album of his is ROCK SOLID. prediction: he and this 18-tracker will not remain an obscure gem for long. Dynamite show at Hammerstein last night!
