The Decemberists show was incredible. They played the Tain, in full, and ended with a cover of Mr Blue Sky!! And a bunch of other great stuff they never play. John Wesley Harding drew the songs from the lotto and MC-ed. Fantastic.

From an article on the front page of Sunday's Times:
...[John] Edwards once calmed an anxious [Rielle] Hunter by promising her that after his wife died, he would marry her in a rooftop ceremony in New York with an appearance by the Dave Matthews Band.

Great show by A Hawk and a Hacksaw tonight (if you're into that kinda music).

That Decemberists show was an abortion. Horrible selection of songs. Overcrowded, so 25% of the paying audience couldn't see, and the plain unfunny MC providing shitty narration of All the shittiness. Failure.

Couldn't agree less about Decemberists show. I've seen them one hundred times (guesstimate) and that was the best ever. Completely unexpected. John Wesley Harding was the perfect MC. All in all, a wonderful wonderful night!
