Whiplash is at UCB Theatre tonight with host Leo Allen and Pete Holmes, Craig Baldo, Andrew Jeffrey Wright, and (musical guest?) Langhorne Slim. Langhorne’s new album “Be Set Free” is out Tuesday, and he also plays a free (with CD purchase) show at Cameo on Tuesday.

Great Lake Swimmers follow up their Bowery show last night with a gig at MHOW tonight. Nina Nastasia and Sharon Van Etten open.

Fever Ray (aka Karin Dreijer Andersson of The Knife) brings her stage show to Webster Hall tonight and tomorrow. She also sings on Royksopp‘s new song “This Must Be It” – the video for that track is below.

Mono and Maserati are on a four-week North American tour. They play Bowery Ballroom tonight and Bell House tomorrow.

Australian metal guys Destroyer 666 play their first NYC show in three years at Europa (originally Public Assembly) tonight, with Negative Plane, Open Grave and Agrath.

The Roots are NOT at Highline Ballroom tonight. You can see them at Brooklyn Bowl Thursday, October 1st, or just ?uestlove at the Central Park Wizard of Oz party tomorrow.
