BV-CMJ kicks off tonight

Laura Marling (plays MHOW tonight) in the corn!

The first BrooklynVegan show this CMJ is on tonight, 10/20 (now with Think About Life). Then there are two on Thursday (night and day-TBA), and three on Friday (day, night, and night). Finally, the seventh and final BV party of CMJ 2009 (which is not technically part of CMJ) is happening Saturday at Pianos. Also see:

i think BV gave CMJ a BJ this year. seems they are the only one with any shows. funny how last year CMJ was pretty damn fun, great bands, and this year there's nothing!!

Marling was fine. Antlers were the highlight....haven't seen a crowd leave like that since the CLHSY/National show at Warsaw in 05....Fanfarlo was lacking. 2nd time I've seen them and they are really young....not in a good way. Set was zzzzz.

Antlers brought it tonight.

Antlers were amazing. Fanfarlo was ok. Laura Marling was good. The Wheel was very good.
