"Tickets are available on a first come, first serve and there is no age minimum to take a test drive, you only need a valid drivers license."

I wonder how many tickets they are giving away per day crossed with the amount of people that will be showing up. I would hate to show up on Friday and find out they have none left after commuting from Astoria.

people need to start caring again about bands/people selling out. girl talk should work C.R.E.A.M. into his set. such crap.

12:59- Either way, you get to test drive the SWEET new Kia Soul...for free! That's what I call a win-win of the raddest kind. See you at the show, maybe even on the road in my Cobalt Blue Kia Soul!!!

"You only need a valid drivers license" which if i'm not mistaken means you have to be 16 in New York State. That's not "All Ages" in my book wiseass.
Posted by jan janson | October 21, 2009 1:15 PM
1:15 - I just read that as it is all ages so someone could go and drive the car for someone who doesn't have a license and then give them the tickets

I'm more hyped to test drive the shit out of this Kia Soul than actually seeing Girl Talk.

to have a valid drivers LICENSE you need to be 17 last time I checked, 16 is for the permit. wonder how many mommys, daddys and older brothers/cousins/whatever will be doing the driving

guys, i am sure you're not going to be driving a car around in downtown manhattan. kia could never cover the insurance for something like that. it's on orchard st, too - hardly room there for a kia showrroom. i'm sure they have a car parked inside or out, you sit in it, and they give you tickets.

How fucking lame. I thought girl talk was cool because he was challenging the RIAA but now he's teaming up with pretty much every corporate sponsor imaginable (remember the canon ads a few months ago???), co-opting the very challenges he initially set forth about fair use. In the end, I think he's a hypocritical lameo...
Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2009 2:44 PM
old news.... those KIA e-mails went out a while ago. so lame.
Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2009 3:33 PM
hating on corporate sponsorship is so 2003

I think He knows his thing is not gonna last forever. Maybe a year or two at the most so he's gonna cash it in as much as possible.
Kudos to him.
