the Atlantic Antic is Sunday

Brooklyn's largest street festival is back! The 35th annual Atlantic Antic, presented by the Atlantic Avenue LDC, is scheduled for Sunday, October 4th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Spreading approximately one mile along 10 blocks of Atlantic Avenue, from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue, the Antic offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for live musical performances, one-of-a-kind crafts and wares, or edible delights from around the world, you're sure to find it at this event eagerly anticipated by all Brooklynites each year!Atlantic Antic is one of the best street fairs in NYC, partially thanks to the nine live music stages set up along the way. the problem with these street fairs is the food is bad... Its all funnel cakes and greasy burgers.
You know what would make this fait really good? Some hummus.

The Antic is unique in this way.....there is plenty of hummus!
Try the blocks between Clinton and Court....Sahadis, Damascus, there are at least 10 middle eastern restaurants being featured..
Check out the belly dancers on the ameraba stage, too!

Mehtlantic Avenue. This thing was so much better back in '04, before the Damascan decided to let their hummus be featured in the Twilight movies. Now I can't stand to go down there and deal with all the young hipster girls screaming about middle eastern food.

Does anybody know the name of the person/company that was selling shirts with a bearded guy on them? It was past Court Street & they were going for $25. Thanks!

Didn't know Popa Chubby was playing when I walked by. He still is great live. Too bad his sound was drowned out by the talentless hacks over at Last Exit. Seriously, if you music is not live, turn it down. The stage just had these two old women doing some sort of burlesque.
