I just looked for tix for the pinback and obits show at irving plaza - a live nation event.
tickets are $18 each. the fee? $9 per ticket.
something is very wrong here.
this is worse than ticketmaster. insane. i'll skip it.

the fees are already high pre-merger. Is the merger really going to make them higher? i doubt it, at a certain point people would get outraged and not buy them.
Which leads to the second point that everyone is already aware of but ill repeat anyway. When i buy tickets i calculate the fees in as a part of the purchase. An 18 dollar ticket with 9 dollar fee is a 27 dollar ticket. If thats more than im willing to pay for that band at that venue then i dont buy it. they cant charge high prices/fees if people arent willing to buy them.
