Is it me or is MHOW too big for Pissed Jeans?

Posted by Anonymous | October 2, 2009 5:28 PM

I'm really sad that every time Micachu is in town, I've already got other plans. Tickets in hand, no cancellation available.

I believe she'll be at LPR tomorrow but I'm going to Besnard Lakes that night.

Dave Hill is hilarious. I was worried the guy on the right would take Dave too seriously.

Seeing Darkness on the Edge of Town at Giants Stadium was downright weird. Great, but weird. All those downer songs - Adam Raised a Cain, Factory, etc. etc. - really clashed with the rest of the show's Jersey-party atmosphere. It was clear that some of the audience didn't know what to do with those songs. And it really brought out the strange
thing about Springsteen, that extreme optimism / extreme pessimism mix.

Anyway, great concert, partly *because* this aspect of it was so weird.

Did anyone catch the secret Lita Ford show at Mercury Lounge? The password was HUMMUS. There were no capers sightings.

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 1:08 AM

Darkness was amazing. Not to sound like a tool, but hearing the album as a whole live was absolutely incredible. A downright spiritual moment.

Posted by BK | October 3, 2009 2:21 AM

Agree with the Darkness praise. It was super. But, i gotta say I don't feel the "magic" when he does Thunder Road and Born To Run like i do on record. i can't pinpoint why.

Still, this time he did Rosie, which he didn't do the last time i saw him, so i left satisfied.

I went to some place in bushwick last night, and I'm not sure what band was playing, but they had Hummus there so I stayed even though the band sucked.

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 5:15 AM

I don't think they have capers in Bushwick.

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 7:01 AM

Well, that poor cat looked like it was in hell during that video. Not sure how I feel about that?

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 7:32 AM

Boy did the bridge and tunnel folk at the Webster Hall dance party not know what to make of Holy Fuck. LOL

BK you are a tool just for saying "i don't want to be a tool"....state your opinion man and don't be afraid to have some fucking conviction.

5:30 thanks for clearing the mystery of what sex micachu is...a while back i'd seen some video and i was convinced that she was a teenage boy (maybe even pre pubescent)...then the other day i saw a pic on bv and the young man had tits.

DARKNESS

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 2:40 PM

Anybody go to Bruce by train this week? I am going on Friday and wondering if it was as bad as U2 last week.

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 2:45 PM

Train to Bruce was a breeze last night. No delays at all after the show. Just watch out for the douchebag NJ Transit rent-a-cops.

Posted by Anonymous | October 3, 2009 3:04 PM

Buses from Port Authority were great too. Got on very quickly, both ways.

Notice that the Chinese know how to do a stimulus package, while no one in power seems to know how to do a stimulus package here in the US.
