John Wesley Harding and his band, The English UK, host the monthly Cabinet of Wonders show at (Le) Poisson Rouge tonight. Guests include Tanya Donelly (Belly, The Breeders, Throwing Muses), Rosie Thomas (folksinger extraordinaire), Martha Plimpton (doyen of the stage and screen), Eugene Mirman, (wit), Rick Moody (writer) and Michael Zegarski (singing the work of Daniel Felsenfeld).

recently showed up to assist the Decemberists at Terminal 5.

The Rural Alberta Advantage are opening for Passion Pit at T5 in January (tickets are now on AmEx presale). Tonight they headline Bowery Ballroom with Kittens Ablaze and The Lovely Feathers.

Kurt Vile, Birds of Maya, Coconuts and Still Life Still perform at Mercury Lounge. Still Life Still open at the venue again tomorrow and will be back during CMJ.

Kurt will also be at UCB/on WFMU between 6-7.

Noah & the Whale have announced three shows at Mercury Lounge.
