Mae's van stolen in Philly, but still touring - they play Irving Plaza in NYC tonight

Van and Trailer Stolen, But The Show Must Go On!Mae's next show is tonight (11/6) at Irving Plaza in NYC. Bright Eyes plays NYC tonight too, sort of. All Mae dates below...Hey everyone,
We awoke [Thursday] morning in Philadelphia to discover that both our van and our trailer had been stolen from the parking lot of the hotel we were staying in. Needless to say, this was an absolutely devastating discovery! All of our instruments, equipment, merchandise, and many personal items are gone. This misfortune has fallen among many of our friends in the past and we suppose that after touring for 8 years this sort of thing is bound to happen. However, we will be finishing the remainder of the (a)fternoon Tour to the best of our ability! We have four dates left on our tour and will play the shows with the help of our friends in Deas Vail and Jenny Owen Youngs.
It's in these moments that our fans lift us up and remind us why we do what we do. We thank you for the immediate outpouring of love and support. If you would like to help us out, you can make a donation using the button below or by clicking here.
We love you!

attn : every band playing in philly. every time a band stays at the holiday inn by the stadiums they get their gear or van stolen. Please stop staying at any hotel by the satdiums. This is an organized effort by criminals who are obviously paying off hotel people to make a call when a band comes to check in

Are you certain they stayed at the Holdiay Inn by the stadiums?
They played the Northstar Bar which is near the Art Gallery and 30th Street station. Not really near the stadiums.

playing in philly is ridiculous. the first time my band played there we got robbed right outside of the venue while the show was going on.

I enjoy that the first word of the question is grammatically incorrect.

"i was waiting to steal their equipment in nyc. someone in philly beat me to it."
Just like 1:37 beat you to that witty reply.

Why is Mae posted about on here? I mean, they're ok and all, but this doesn't really seem like the environment that cares much for them.

they're ok and all? fucking terrible, they've last about 5 years too long. give it up already, youre singer is balding fast

i cant believe a band who makes thousands of dollars every night on tour including last night would ask for donations from their fans because of their own stupidity, what a bunch of jerks. and the crazy thing is, their lemming fans will probably send them thousands more via pay pal. then they'll write off the theft as a loss or maybe even cash in on insurance. they are laughing all the way to the bank. what horrible socially concious people, they probably will make a lot of money off this

Darwinism in full effect.
Bands who make shitty music deserve to have their gear stolen!

Big ups to the thiefs. Mae can suck it! If you're looking to sell any of the guitars or amps from the van for cheap let me know.
