As Bob Dylan was playing his first of three shows up in Washington Heights, The Jesus Lizard was tearing things up for the second night in a row at Irving Plaza much farther downtown. Pictures and stuff coming soon, but in the meantime Mark Cyst managed to grab a copy of last night's setlist (which was reportedly the same as the first night's) and was nice enough to send in a picture. Check it out below...

"As Bob Dylan was playing his first of three shows up in Harlem..."

Eh? I thought United Palace is in Inwood.

Inwood is further north. United Palace is firmly Washington Heights. Harlem stops at 155th Street.

It occurred to me that Washington Heights was the right neighborhood when I was typing that, but did it anyway. Fixed, thanks!

More or less the same set in a slightly different order. I went twice hoping to hear some other songs. Side 2 of Goat was completely neglected. The Art of Self Defense? One Evening?

Still....glad I saw it again. I'm not sure they'll be back.

'One Evening' is the one song i really missed hearing, but i can't complain about the setlist or performance. top end stuff.

That's Tuesday's setlist--I was there. Stellar show!

I would have loved hearing "One Evening" too....

DYLAN = GOD.

I wish Dylan would play material from Time out of Mind more. He tends to play the same songs shuffled up every night. Time out of Mind and Love and Theft should be revisited.

Posted by British Vegan | November 18, 2009 5:24 PM

TIME OUT OF MIND RULES.

Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2009 5:27 PM

what time did Dylan go on?

Posted by Anonymous | November 18, 2009 5:38 PM

Thumper was the first song of the second encore on Monday. I remember because I was standing behind the mixing board where the set list was out in plain view, and I couldn't stop studying. The second encore was obscured though and I got to feel genuine surprise when they went into Thumper. They kicked ass.

Skeleton Key did too. I should mention that.
