Kevin Seconds: ...Speaking of tours... have you been here and there doing any other touring solo wise with Shanti?

Greg Attonito: Yeah. Shanti, Vic [Ruggiero] from The Slackers... It was a total blast. We ended up just doing a whole bunch of stuff together.

Kevin Seconds: Vic's phenomenal. (Laughs). It's like, I got to know him a little bit last year when we went out on the East Coast and we did some gigs together. I was completely blown away by his ability to pull it off musically and the kind of guy he is... I haven't been inspired like on a musical or an art level in a long time. He was just... wow, this guy is really living.

[from our interview with the two earlier this year]

The Slackers are hitting the road in December including two shows in their hometown of Brooklyn at Knitting Factory on Dec 18th and Dec 19th. Tickets are on sale for their 12/18 show with The Alrighters, Red Baraat, & 100 dBs, and for their 12/19 show with R-tronika, THE HARD TIMES, & 100 dBs.

The Slackers recently dropped a new disc entitled Lost & Found:

Lost & Found is a cd that I culled from our archives going back as far 1998. It includes rarities from back in the day, alternative versions of slacker's classics, and "new" songs that we just finished from basic rhythms that were not completed (it took 5 years for us to finish one of these tracks...that's slackin!)

So yeah, its a fun cd, new and old at the same time. But its all tracks that havent seen the light of day until right now!

The band has also released live recordings from both it's recent show at Bowery Ballroom in September, and their boat cruise this past summer. Pick up those and Lost & Found here.

I might be a bit biased, but The Slackers put on the best live show I've ever seen in my life.. repeatedly..

The Ugly Terrible Truth of
the Gentrification of the Original Band Line up the Slackers.

Tensions where brewing in Europe during the Slackers tour in the 90's when Dave Hillyard who was kicked out of Hepcat Infiltrated the band, Told Q-Maxx and Zulu that they couldn't bring Female Ska fans on the tour bus.. But only Dave Hillyard and Jay Nugent etc: could...
which lead to the "Closet" Right wing Gentrification of the Original Band Line up of- the Slackers.
