Christian County, Kentucky court house (Kristin Klein)
Christian County

On November 16, 2009 Kristin Klein entered a guilty plea to 2nd degree possession of a controlled substance in Christian County, Kentucky. Ms Klein was driving a rental vehicle that was randomly stopped at a safety checkpoint. Officers located a controlled substance in the cab of the vehicle. Ms Klein was unaware of the contraband and the validity of her license was indeterminable at time of arrest. Under KY law a driver of a vehicle is responsible for its contents. Therefore, Ms Klein entered a guilty plea and is scheduled to appear on April 2, 2010 to provide proof of her valid license.

King Khan & BBQ Show are driving through the night to make their Los Angeles show at Troubador tomorrow. Tonight's show in Phoenix is cancelled, but all further west coast dates and will to be honored. Kristin Klein is safe with the band and continuing her tenure as tour manager.

Do hipsters even know what shrooms are? I bet 90% of Brooklyn hipsters only smoked marijuana......

drink your Old English/Colt 45 and please don't talk about drugs.....

Sounds like the previous commenter like his pain killers with Trey from Phish. Keep on trucking 2:15 AM douche.

@2:15 - what is with the I'm so cool I know about drugs that you don't attitude? Give me a break!

The part that worries me is "...randomly stopped at a safety checkpoint". If the vehicle had non-functioning equipment, that might give the police cause to stop, otherwise, you cannot just be pulled over at random by police in this country.

You can be randomly stopped by police, have you ever seen a drunk driving checkpoint? All they need at that point is reasonable suspicion to pull you over.

in the south it is very common to have "checkpoints" where some big dumbass hillbilly cops pressure you by asking you if they can search the vehicle, even if there is no probable cause whatsoever. "well, if you got nothing to hide, you wouldn't mind... right?" I know multiple people who have been pinched for marijuana possession this way. They feel intimidated by the cop and feel that they have no choice but to let them search the vehicle. I think the cops get a boner while they are searching the car.

"you cannot just be pulled over at random by police in this country."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Come on man, really? Happens all the time.

These redneck shit bag cops lie to you and tell you that if you don't let them search your car, they will hold you there until they can get a warrant from a judge.
The important thing is that you KNOW your rights and NEVER let a cop search your car if they ask you. No matter what they say, POLITELY say no. Don't be a smartass. If they say they will hold you there, say fine. Act like you are calling your attorney.

this is reminiscent of that scene in "Dig!" where the BJM get pulled over in the south. i know it's such a '16 year old in a che tshirt'-esque thing to say but we really do live in a police state. the cops should be here for our safety ..not just to bust people for stupid shit to create revenue so that there can be more police.

"if they're dumb enough to have drugs on them they deserve every sentence they get."

Wow, You sound pretty fucking boring.

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2009 12:58 PM

NEVER let a cop search your car for any reason!... even if you have nothing to hide... they KNOW they can't search it without your consent, so they try to trick you with double-speak by saying "you don't mind if we search your car"... if you answer "NO", it means you don't mind... if you answer "YES", then they say "so we CAN search your car?"... do not answer their loaded question... politely tell them that you do not consent to a search of your vehicle.

people don't get to put drugs on their riders when they're king khan's size. you're clueless

Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2009 9:01 PM

Haha ... just say NO when cops is asking to search in your car for any reason ...

Posted by Lowongan | November 18, 2009 5:01 AM

I think we're all getting away from the central point here which is that Kristin is notoriously a lousy human and that we just missed our first chance to remove her from the general public.

"That sucks and is good. Tour dates below..." Couldn't have put it better myself. :)
