Vampire Weekend's upcoming tour dates take the band to Japan, Australia, down the West Coast, then to New York for three nights at three separate venues. The band plays United Palace Theater on January 17th, Webster Hall on January 18th and the smallest of all, Bowery Ballroom on January 19th. Tickets for all three go on sale Friday, Novermber 20th at noon.

After those shows the band travels to the UK for a series of dates in February. Their new album, Contra, comes out January 12th on XL. The lead single, "Horchata," is above. All tour dates and some videos are below...

are you serious?! vampire weekend, stop running away from me! this is my third time being so close to seeing them but not being able to. last time they were in new york i had a school overnight. then i went to all points west but it was pouring out so my bus from boston was delayed two hours and i missed them. now they decide to play in new york when i have midterms.

haha...alice cooper. people forget that kiss was looked upon like giant hairy vaginas when they were in their 'prime'. when you go to schticks like face paint and hooker boots, its just sad. what's the difference between kiss and gwar? shoulder pads.

I remember a bored ass crowed watching them open for Animal Collective at Webster Hall on the Strawberry Jam Tour, wondering who they were and why they were opening for AC...15 minutes later they are one of the most popular band in Indie Rock...They must have a really good publicist.
