How was Devo? Love the band and "Q: Are we not men?" album , but wasn't going to spend $50+ for a ticket. That's highway robbery.
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 9:24 AM
Devo show was awesome. They put it down really, super high energy set, very very tight, 1-song encore. Pricy ticket though.
Glad I was on the list.
heeey-ho!

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 12:35 PM
How long was the Devo set? Was it only the first album plus one song? Or did they do other stuff too?
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 12:42 PM
DEVO did the first album straight through which took about 45 minutes. First encore was 'Smart Patrol/Mr DNA', 'Gates of Steel', then they came out again for 'Secret Agent Man'. Show all told was a little over an hour.
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 12:49 PM
$55 for one hour? I'm sure they were great, but that's ridiculous.
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 12:57 PM

Whip It: Movie Review!!!
Mark Mothersbaugh has been one of the most influential composers in music, television and film in the last twenty years. His resume is about as extensive as the Mississippi River. First arriving on the scene with the techno-brat force that was Devo, then later on scoring such...

Devo was SO WEAK. It was the worst show I've seen all year. What a waste of money!
Posted by da troof | November 21, 2009 3:23 PM
I love me some Devo but the show sucked! Im so mad I paid for that cowshit!
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 3:25 PM

No, kids, the DEVO show was great. They were very tight and energetic, and Mothersbaugh came into the audience for "Praying Hands" and "Jocko Homo" and let fans sing into the mic. Yes, very expensive, but Sonic Youth and Dino Jr. cost me $45 with all the extra charges, and I can see Thurston just about any day of the week walking down the street (birthday gift for a friend--I would have never paid that to see SY on my own).
Al shows at the big venues are overpriced now. Who's getting all that money?
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 5:23 PM
What time did DEVO go on last night? Planning on going tonight and would like to know set times.....
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 5:29 PM
overrated
Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2009 5:33 PM
Anyone go to both Devo shows? Compare?
Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2009 9:17 AM
>Who's getting all that money?
The artists. It's payback for us stealing their music online for the last 10 years.
