JULIAN PLENTI not only covered the Pixettes, he also did his ultramegacool cover of America's thinly veiled smack ditty "Horse With No Name" (he should do "Tin Man" next) and a new song called "Goodbye To Toronto." I'm from Toronto and I can't believe it -- no one writes songs about unromantic old Toronto. This Plenti guy is full of surprises.

Sonic Youth rocked! Death Valley 69!
Posted by Anonymous | November 26, 2009 1:22 AM
sorry, i wasn't close enough to tell, but at the end of dv69, did thurston grab jemina pearl from the crowd, help her on the stage, and then start rolling around with her? it looked really awkward. and a really awkward way to end the show.
which, by the way, was the same damn show (minus silver rocket) from terminal 5.

screamales were amazing as usual, even as there were technical problems and some idiots jumped onstage and knocked out her plug, completely ruining her power supply and turning off her guitar.
Posted by Anonymous | November 26, 2009 12:41 PM
and the so so glos are a bunch of fucking asshats. you're not the fucking clash! get the fuck over yourselves and play some music instead of spending 15 minutes between songs to ask the fans 'HooOOOW AREEEE YOUUUUU DOOOOING TONIIIIIIIIIGHT!?'. this isn't radio city and you are not joe strummer.

"besides The Eternal stuff, they played Eric's Trip, The Sprawl, Cross the Breeze, White Cross, Death Valley 69"
So basically, they played the same crap- The Eternal plus the usual songs they tag on every show.
What a waste!
