Still Life Still @ BV CMJ day party...
Still Life Still

Canadian Arts & Crafts band Still Life Still was in town for CMJ where they played a label showcase with bands including Timber Timbre (who have a Joe's Pub show coming up) on October 22nd and the BV/BP Pianos day party on Saturday, October 24th. The pictures in this post are from the latter. Before that, the band visited NYC's Mercury Lounge in early October.

Two DancersStill Life Still will be back in February 2010, as part of a tour with the UK's Wild Beasts. The tour works its way to New York on Friday, February 26th for a show at Bowery Ballroom. I'm spoiled, but I wish they were playing more than one NYC show again this time. Bowery Ballroom tickets go on sale Friday at noon. The tour ends one day later in DC. All dates below.

Though Wild Beasts made their NYC debut in September at Union Pool, Mercury Lounge and Joe's Pub, this trip will be their first US tour. Their second record, Two Dancers, came out in September on Domino Records. See the band now - a full live show from August is streaming online.

Maybe they'll add a Brooklyn show later on. Depending on the sales for the Bowery show.

Can't wait!

Hey guys,

Wild Beasts "Feb 17 7th Street Entry Minneapolis, Michigan" show...

Should probably be Minnesota, no? If there's a 7th Street Entry, and a Minneapolis in Michigan, I'll be pretty bummed cause I want them to visit the Minneapolis in MN. Just sayin...

This new band has a lot of potential. I'm sure that if they make more songs, they'd be on the level same as Oasis. It's good that they have a lot of schedule on their US tour.
