ATP

"To celebrate the Yeah Yeah Yeahs coming up to ten years of being a band and also of course our 10th birthday- at Ten Years Of ATP the band will play a special performance of debut album Fever To Tell as the first part of their show. This is unique to ATP and will not be what they are performing on the rest of their tour.

In other news we're very happy to confirm that David Pajo's Papa M performance will consist of the 1999 classic Live From A Shark Cage album (another ten year anniversary!)." [ATP]

"Ten Years of ATP", taking place in Minehead in December, is sold out.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are playing a Verizon DROID launch party at Angel Orensanz in NYC on Friday (11/6). It's free, but you need to go through some hoops to get tickets.

Angel Orensanz is one of the nicest venues in NYC it is a shame it isn't used more often.

I really want to go to this tomorrow, but I won't pay a few hundred dollars to buy a new phone just to see them. This kind of sucks.

my friend sampled a phone a few weeks ago on the street in Chelsea and then they called her a few weeks later saying she won tickets to the show. i'm happy to have such a generous friend since she asked me to go w/ her!!!

But my whole point of sharing this is b/c at some point, they were giving away tickets... So maybe they still have some to give out?

they have tons to give out, no ones buying that many phones let alone yyy fans, look for the street teamers, someone said on BV they got some near the Cake Shop so go to places like that or a Verizon store. i bet maybe 15, 20% of the audience is actual droid owners.

seeing the whole live from a shark cage album played live would be fucking rad

just keep walking around all the hip venues in nyc and eventually someone will give you a ticket.

union square...they're there frequently...look for red shirts.

When you run into the street team, ask for like 4 codes or so. The codes they give out aren't guaranteed ticket winners.

Look for the people promoting products for a trendy youth culture in bright red shirts for a real over rated band with a NYC fashion image.
