Bishop Allen @ Studio B in Brooklyn - pics

only thing i know about bishop allen is that my band played a double-booked pianos show with them about three years ago..... it was our record release show, bishop allen's show was first.... they ran really fucking late, we were scheduled to play at 11 and didn't go on until at least 1 am, at which point most of our friends and folks there to see us were long gone..... so fuck bishop allen and their vibraphones.

that's pretty funny, 12:20. i was just about to post about how assholish they are as well. the dude's ego is way too big for how generic and shitty his music is. i guess that's what happens when you go to harvard.

Since when is a double-booking the band's responsibility? All this negative shit is totally off-base. Bands don't go on when scheduled, get over it. Yr mom can come see you at Arlene's grocery or Trash Bar another night.

yeah, i love when bands or their managers/publicists disguise themselves as ordinary bv commentors and post defenses/attacks on other commentors. so dirty projectors.

DPs at least have hype. BA has just been lingering in "no one really cares" territory forever because they are such boring pop/rock, and you can imagine the singer sitting at home wondering why people don't realize he's the next McCartney or something.

the bishop allen guys have always been really nice to me. Also, I think it's kind of silly comparing them to the dirty projectors. Is this some kind of competition or something? bishop allen are not groundbreaking or anything, but they write super catchy songs. why can't a band just write catchy pop songs?
