Eric Bachmann

"North Carolinian Eric Bachmann's debut solo album may be called Short Careers, but Bachmann's musical career has been anything but. Beginning with his early-'90s indie band the Archers of Loaf (whose single "Web in Front" took over the college radio airwaves), the onetime Appalachian State University saxophone major has crafted a relentlessly independent and uncompromising rock & roll journey." [allmusic]
Eric is playing a few solo shows this month and next. The next is tonight, 12/19 - a late show at Mercury Lounge in NYC with Sharon Van Etten. All dates below...

Eric Bachmann - 2009/2010 Tour Dates

Bachmann is f'n great. Just a real-deal singer-songwriter. wish this was happening in Brooklyn, but I'm going to make the snow work for me. If the world were just, everyone who reads this site would at least know his name.

I do know his name. He is the guy that has nothing of note ever since Archers of Loaf broke up.

..and you've done what exactly ?

the first 2 crooked fingers records are easily as good as ANYTHING the Archers ever put out, if not better.

After his “Archers of Loaf” Bachmann never saw back. He is really a hardworking artist.I grabbed the opportunity to attend his show in New York in December. It was really amazing and I enjoyed a lot. He is really a wonderful singer. I surprised to see the magic created by his songs.

I was at the show at the Mercury lounge in NYC. It was an unforgettable experience. I have always been a fan of Eric Bachmann. I always loved the way he did his job. The North Carolinian Eric Bachmann's debut solo album was called Short Careers. His musical career was always excellent. His 90's band “The Archers of Loaf” took the college radio in his hands.

I don’t know why someone so gifted feels the need to turn his back on what he does best, trying to find out what it is he’s truly meant to do. I hope he comes to terms with the fact that he’s already doing what he’s meant to do, and ultimately, I hope he finds peace. Such an amazing man.
