BANGERSZZZZ

Posted by xavierdurosnanay | December 21, 2009 5:23 PM

Another cool show at a very shitty venue! Pass.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:24 PM

Call me stupid but who is Ed Banger?

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:24 PM

41$.What a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:25 PM

this would've sorta cool in 2004.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:31 PM

Ed Banger but he don't know 'er.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:46 PM

If only i had a time machine to go back to when these guys were less of a joke.

Vitalic at Webster Hall in February a couple weeks later...not DJing...is the electro to see.

Chixxx > Ed Banger

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 5:59 PM

i wish someone would beat the living crap out of these malnourished french pussies...especially after watching the Justice movie where they acted all tough breaking bottles over peoples heads.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 6:22 PM

once this was "cool." you people are responsible for this waste of time.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 6:31 PM

This WAS cool in 2004 and they played Element with one of Uffie's first NYC/US performances.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 6:52 PM

mid 2000s dj bullshit is already irrelevant

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 7:09 PM

where oizo at?

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 7:32 PM

DO NOT GO > i saw justice "play" at term 5 on "cross" tour. the greedy ass venue oversold the event: you're seeing justice, but it's too crowded to dance. i'm not exaggerating, i could barely move on the floor. why in the name of god you would go to a dance show at a shitty greedy venue where you can't even dance is beyond me. don't do it.

Posted by stuff | December 21, 2009 7:41 PM

there's no god, stupid!

Posted by anon | December 21, 2009 8:37 PM

1. Electro died once the coke got shitty.
2. Ed Banger is the worst "electro" outfit in existence.
3. The german labels are lightyears beyond.
4. Hummus is loaded with 6 essential vitamins & minerals.
5. Without daft punk the entire French electronic scene is KOed.
6. Forty one dollars admission is rediculous.
7. I am going and gonna dance my ass off because that is what I do.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 8:49 PM

add oizo and uffie and maybe I'll think about it.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 8:57 PM

re: point #5.

daft punk is French house, and while they do carry that entire scene, the rest of the spectrum is not included. the disco jams that the Valerie collective are putting out are far superior than the house scene and easily hold their own.

and also don't forget Alan Braxe. dudes a legend.

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 9:00 PM

Maybe Girl Talk will show up?

Posted by Anonymous | December 21, 2009 9:13 PM

I can't believe even BV is gonna hate on Ed Banger and Justice...although such a small section of the NY music scene, Ed Banger is a pinnacle for many fans of shows that people like Showtrotta post. Ed Banger is not only some of the hottest shit in electro but also in terms of brands. People go apeshit over their products. If you don't like electro that's cool. But listen to † a few times then tell me you won't pay $41 to go to the most fucking awesome dance party you've ever seen.

Posted by JM | December 21, 2009 10:35 PM

I listened to cross a ton and I won't pay $41 for anything. Maybe a coat.

9pm is so right. Valerie is where it is at. When those dudes coming back? I missed Russ Chimes a month or so ago. Sad face.

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 2:18 AM

I'm Going. Sure I hate T5. Sure its gonna be the same old sets and blends, but I don't give a fuck. Its 40 bucks, I drop that shit on cigs and lunch everyday. I'm gonna get drunk and have a good time.

Posted by Crook from the Bronx | December 22, 2009 8:54 AM

$41 is worth it just to see yourself on lastnightsparty!

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 10:22 AM

if Philip Sherburne can barely find something positive to say about the entire genre, then i surely can't either

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 10:49 AM

$41 is worth it just for the facebook status update

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 10:52 AM

8:49 - there is nothing worse than a failed attempt at humor.

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 11:58 AM

I'm surprised he owns a shitty old mac, peep the power supply.

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 12:12 PM

who the fuck is ed banger?

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2009 2:04 PM

Its funny how none of you regard yourselves as hispters and yet you're willing to declare what was once "cool"..

It's very funny.

Posted by Anonymous | December 25, 2009 1:03 AM

Already bought tickets.

And Cowboy outfit.

Fuck you all.

Posted by Anonymous | December 27, 2009 9:22 PM

The show has serious potential because it will probably be the last time JUSTICE is under the Ed Banger label before moving to Elektra.

Posted by Anonymous | January 3, 2010 11:10 PM

$45 to hear DJ sets. WOW

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2010 2:24 PM

The thing is, unless they'd play only new material, I wouldn't want straight "live."

† is great and extremely intense, but I'd like to hear some other material, too.

Valid point about going big for this; last time as "Ed Banger" before they move to "Elektra"...has anyone seen Breakbot perform? and what of these "VERY SPECIAL GUESTS"? I caught Mehdi over the summer before A-Trak at the TIME Festival and he blew shit up, almost moreso than A-Trak.

Is Terminal 5 really that bad for this type of event though? I saw some videos of their previous performance and it did look oversold, but the entire crowd was bouncing together, looked like a sea I'd want to be in. I dunno, fck the h8erz?

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2010 2:29 AM

saw justice last year at circa in toronto, blew the roof with stress.
im betting they will play alot of new material, seeing as how their album is gonna drop soon.
also saw dj mehdi at TIME, and rocked. hard.
for all you fuckers who havent seen any of the ed banger crew dont talk smack, and if you dont want to be in the pit cuz its too crowded for dancing, move to a different fucking spot. this show is gonna be a rager!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2010 5:10 PM

Serious hate. I'm going and im all about it

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2010 6:49 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2010 6:03 PM

anyone that thought this would have sucked/did suck is totally a flaming douche, ed banger owns you queer ass bitches, everyone there kicked ass and it was the craziest electro show ive ever been to. busy p is the fucking man and youre all just afraid of the crazy awesomeness that is the establishment of sonic doom known as ed banger records

Posted by pat s | February 14, 2010 12:32 AM

Uffie was great last night and sexy ...just wish she performed longer or went home with me. every DJ was awesome and thought Justice was good but prefer their shows over DJ Sets..maybe thats just me but it was a good night. Also, wouldve been nice if it was 18+ hah but what you gonna do =)

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2010 3:51 AM

me wants a ticket :( id pay more then 41 just to see pedro again, but he and mehdi are unreal. justice normally go alright, maybe they will even have something new, tho i doubt it

Posted by Dave | March 4, 2010 4:45 PM

The whole Snow LP is pretty solid. And these guys easily sold out 3 NYC shows already.

^^^Maybe these are scalpers upset about the T5 addition?

I think Ed Banger is a great artist. However, it looks very strange in this picture. Is it drunk or very upset.
