Q-Tip spinning at Nokia Theatre in August (more by Jaecyne Howell)

Brooklyn Bowl's New Year's Eve festivities will includeQ-Tip the Abstract (his DJ name), retro-synth wiz Dam-Funk, reggae/soul/funk band Pimps of Joytime and DJ Concerned. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, December 16th at noon (with the price going up on December 19th).
The Brooklyn Bowl's lineup was previously "secret" - another NYC club with a secret (though not one we would count on making the price worth it - relatively speaking) is (Le) Poisson Rouge, who promises "a celebrity DJ...spinning pulsating sets of hip hop, rock, dance and 80's on a state of the art sound system all night long," as well as a "live Performance - Artist TBA." Tickets range from $75 general admission to the $175 Platinum VIP tix where you can "Enjoy reserved nightclub seating while GA ticket holders stand."
Add those to the list of this year's NYE events that also include Passion Pit DJing at Pianos and MSTRKRFT at Webster Hall.
More info on the LPR event is below...

Skip the pretense of a mega-posh lounge and the over the top revelry of Times Square and join the exhilarating festivities at Greenwich Village's (Le) Poisson Rouge. Yes, the french name certainly translates to red fish...just like its "mascots" chilling in the fish tank chandelier at its main entrance. Party it up in cool downtown fashion this New Year's Eve at this historic Art Deco space that once housed the legendary Village Gate. Now that was some serious music making history! In 2008, LPR opened its doors as the premier multimedia cabaret. The inspiration for its vamped up décor is 1920's Paris with a whole lot of New York City edginess. Think a sultry red and black interior. Ooh! La! La!LPR's high velocity party vibe will surely set New Year's Eve 2010 night ablaze! There's no other party like it in Greenwich Village - so rock it out and live it up with old friends (and surely make new ones with LPR's smoking hot crowd) as you bid farewell to 2009. Lose (or find) yourself on the expansive dance floor as a celebrity DJ performs, spinning pulsating sets of hip hop, rock, dance and 80's on a state of the art sound system all night long. The night is yours so take advantage of this tremendous party ticket!
Highlights include:
6 Hour Premium Open Bar (9pm-3am)
Champagne toast at midnight
State of the art sound system and lighting system featuring a world-renowned DJ spinning hip hop, rock, 80's and dance

You are right. Post updated, though it still says "live performance" here:
