I don't understand why it's not $20/$25 like when GB had their two night stand there in May... kind of aggravating... don't know about this...

Those of you bitching about the price of the show are unwelcomed anyway. Good riddance!

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 8:49 AM

Soooo excited. And completely worth the price.

Stop bitching and go to Philly. The Unitarian Church is a great spot to see a show. Beats Town Hall any day!

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 9:40 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 9:49 AM

Congrats on living in New York during its most boring era ever.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 9:57 AM

Philly pathetic? Eat sh!t and die!

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:01 AM

Calling Philly a city is being generous. It's more of a large town.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:01 AM

Enlightened commentary here this morning.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:05 AM

9:57 has a point.

And yay! Thanks BV.

Philly does kind of suck except for that meuseum with the deformed people dead bodies in it

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:11 AM

Every time I'm in Philly I feel depressed. Way to be well known basically for a Cheez-whiz and meat sandwich, Garbage City.

Pavement, Thom Yorke, and Gorillaz!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:44 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:46 AM

au

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 10:46 AM

pricing determines audience. she *wants* to play just for yuppies / rich people.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 11:43 AM

Yeah, forty dollars. This is going to be a real black tie affair. Can't believe she isn't keeping it real with a Market Hotel show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 12:03 PM

Any way to get tickets earlier if you don't have an AmEx?

Posted by Liz | January 19, 2010 12:37 PM

One thing Philly has going for it: the Strapping Fieldhands.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 12:38 PM

philly is way better than ny

"Every time I'm in Philly I feel depressed. Way to be well known basically for a Cheez-whiz and meat sandwich, Garbage City."

Hating on a cheesesteak? Yeah, I'd be depressed too if I was a dimwitted f*cktard!

anyone know how to get amex presale tickets? is there a code you need? do you need an amex card?

Posted by iamtheangel.com | January 19, 2010 1:12 PM

"Philly does kind of suck except for that meuseum with the deformed people dead bodies in it"

The First Unitarian Church is next door to this museum !(Mutter Museum)

Is 35$ the cost for any seats at town hall? Cause really that is not so bad. I am not sure but I feel like I paid that much to sit in the upper decks at BAM. Of course that was sorta special event. The regular YS tour at webster hall was only like 20.

Posted by Anonymous | January 19, 2010 6:16 PM

NYC - over priced - over blown - too cool hipsters- Ha come to philly will rip yr throats out

Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2010 11:26 PM

Oh, and what about those question marks on Sunday's text in the concert poster below? No, that isn't saving a spot for a Smiths reunion or U2 debut on the Coachella stage, it's the way that Yorke presents himself as a solo star, the marquee at his Orpheum concert had the same punctuational flourish.
