On the heels of their three-night Terminal 5 run (Jan. 8-10), Passion Pit have announced that they’ll be playing one of this year’s Celebrate Brooklyn ‘benefits’ at Prospect Park Bandshell on Tuesday, June 29th. The night also includes “very special guest” Tokyo Police Club. Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 30th at noon. More tour dates to be announced?

Both bands are also on the lineup for this year’s Coachella, which is happening April 16th-18th. Passion Pit’s other tour plans (Australia, Japan, the UK and, in March/April North America) are outlined HERE.

Tokyo Police Club are working on a new album to be released in 2010 on mom+pop Records. They’ve been blogging about their progress on the album, titled (they say) Masterworks In The Key Of Mastery, Feat. Baron von Fantastic and the Even More Simon Express. The band writes “Hopefully we’ll be finished everything in the middle of February, and then we’ll start mixing.”
