Passion Pit @ Terminal 5 on January 10th (more by Samantha Marble)
Passion Pit

On the heels of their three-night Terminal 5 run (Jan. 8-10), Passion Pit have announced that they'll be playing one of this year's Celebrate Brooklyn 'benefits' at Prospect Park Bandshell on Tuesday, June 29th. The night also includes "very special guest" Tokyo Police Club. Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 30th at noon. More tour dates to be announced?

Both bands are also on the lineup for this year's Coachella, which is happening April 16th-18th. Passion Pit's other tour plans (Australia, Japan, the UK and, in March/April North America) are outlined HERE.

Tokyo Police Club are working on a new album to be released in 2010 on mom+pop Records. They've been blogging about their progress on the album, titled (they say) Masterworks In The Key Of Mastery, Feat. Baron von Fantastic and the Even More Simon Express. The band writes "Hopefully we'll be finished everything in the middle of February, and then we'll start mixing."

Videos of Passion Pit interviewed and at T5 are below...

A fellow by the name of Bob Marley once said, "strike the hammer while iron is hot."

That saying applies for a lot of lessons in life...including this band.

i believe that applies for almost every band, yes.

Glad to see D.R.I. getting there due. This was the first band I ever saw live way back in 1989. I was in the sixth grade and went with my older brother's friend. It was on the THRASH ZONE tour. Ruled.

The first ever music I purchased were two cassettes, D.R.I's DEALING WITH IT and CROSSOVER. Long live thrash metal.

Great pictures.
Excellent post, thank you very much for taking the time to share with those who are starting on the subject. Greetings

They sound very familiar. Very familiar. I don't really know where to get this sound.
Anyway, I like it a lot.

Now this is a nice and clean sound. I love it a lot. Good to see nice things coming up from time to time.

Try one of their small concerts and you will after that buy their music. I have seen lots of bands performing live but rarely enjoyed my time like at theirs.
Good live sound.

Passion Pit is one of my new favorite bands. Their live shows are very energetic and very well performed. I hope I get to see them soon as well. Great band and great sounds.

Oh, and what about those question marks on Sunday's text in the concert poster below? No, that isn't saving a spot for a Smiths reunion or U2 debut on the Coachella stage, it's the way that Yorke presents himself as a solo star, the marquee at his Orpheum concert had the same punctuational flourish.

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
