Absolutely AWFUL! Why does this clown get so many breaks and opportunities? Terrible songs, terrible voice, terrible performer.

Dear Adam,

If you're reading this (and I know that you are) - please stop doing drugs. You look pathetic and those sad hipster girls that are cheering you on are not of much help either. Sober up, dude - you're not cool.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 2:43 PM

Isn't telling Adam Green to stop doing drugs kinda like telling Eric Clapton to stop playing the guitar?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 2:45 PM

the cover = WtF?!?!!? HORRIBLE.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 2:47 PM

The worst part is one of his German shows are already sold out. STUPID GERMANS! keep him. Hasselhoff now this

TWO nights at BOWERY BALLROOM??? Who the fuck is buying these tickets? what a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 2:51 PM

ooh... filmed at the Chelsea Hotel ... how "authentically" N.Y...

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 2:52 PM

WHOA did you kids wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:01 PM

Love hipster backlash. A band rules for about 6 months - then they completely suck. Repeat.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:07 PM

Wow! That song was refreshingly original! I've never heard anything like it before. How does he come up with this stuff?

Posted by Sarcastic Stu | February 17, 2010 3:11 PM

mp3 link doesn't work

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:17 PM

oh Christ...this fucking hack...again???

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:21 PM

Apparently they just hand out record contracts on NY street corners these days.

"Love hipster backlash. A band rules for about 6 months - then they completely suck. Repeat."

He's not even a band. And when was did he ever "rule"? The guy's been an also-ran since the day he was born - some amusing songs, some crappy ones, but it was never about him. Did a famous cover of the Libertines with the Libertines, was on that soundtrack with his old band. What else?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:41 PM

Hipsters loved the Moldy Peaches. This guy will be homeless in 6 months. Maybe he can move in with Dan Deacon.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:50 PM

2:43 sounds like a great friend. trying to stage an intervention through a comment board.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:52 PM

i think these are all the kids who were waiting for a wavves post to hate but the hate was just brimming so they focused it on poor adam instead

hate is ugly dudes... suppose it's good ur faceless

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:56 PM

Never been a big fan, but I can assure you he has more talent than all of you losers combined. That's why he's headlining Bowery Ballroom two nights while you're busy writing comments on the Internet how much every other band/singer sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:58 PM

never heard of this guy

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 3:58 PM

who?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:12 PM

you people are so ignorant its not even funny

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:31 PM

the dead trees are fucking awesome

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:32 PM

^^^Doesn't matter if us commentors are twidlin' our clits or jerking off while this joke of a musician sells out twenty nights at Bowery. He sucks, sucks hard, and always will. Them's the facts. Britney sells hundreds of thousands of concert tickets, which I suppose makes her a heritage artist in your eyes....

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:39 PM

very SNL cover...

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:40 PM

Adam is my friend, I've known him a long time. You people are cowards and suck. If you're going to diss the performer, at least have the courage to put your real name.

Posted by Me | February 17, 2010 4:41 PM

If you really are Adam's friend please tell him that drugs are bad and make him look like a retard. Which affects his "performance".

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 4:46 PM

Is the cover supposed to be a ripoff of Iggy Pop's "The Idiot"?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 5:08 PM

Adam, u're a genius..
I love your music.
Kisses

And all of you people should stop saying nonsenses..

Posted by Anabel | February 17, 2010 5:12 PM

Is Adam Green impersonating Lou Reed these days?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 5:18 PM

4:39 you can be sure even Britney is expotentially more talented than you are. I know for poor excuses for human beings like yourself, it feels normal and just to anonymously put down other's work. How about backing up your words with stating who you are and what you have achieved in life next time.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 5:30 PM

Hey dude,

I'm doing chemical engineering at Harvard. Would that do? Can I now slag Britney off? Would you care to explain what does "expotentially" mean?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 5:52 PM

chemical engineering at Harvard you must be Asian

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 6:01 PM

Asian? you must be hot

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 6:10 PM

Hot? You must be chicken noodle soup.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 6:14 PM

chemical engineering has NOTHING to do with talent

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 6:16 PM

Finding typos in comment sections to prove your intelligence. An old trick, but a nice one. You go chemical genius!

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 6:17 PM

Seriously, Adam is one of the most talented songwriters of our age. Yes, he does drugs. Get over it and go JO to whatever grungy butt rock you grew to like. Quality is quality. period.

Posted by Urban Grilling | February 17, 2010 6:18 PM

if this is what passes for "quality" music these days, then I'm joining Al Qaida and issuing a fatwa on Brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 9:01 PM

"Seriously, Adam is one of the most talented songwriters of our age"
>> now you are the one on drugs my friend...

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 9:15 PM

this thread cracks me up.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 10:20 PM

no wonder there's still a million bajillion diseases out there not cured. Our brightest Harvard minds are busy correcting spelling errors and getting in dissing matches on Brooklyn Vegan. Sad state of affairs.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 10:23 PM

I forgot that song in the video up there before it was even over. I think I'll just cut to the chase and put on Lou Reed's "New York" for the real deal.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 10:26 PM

more like lolity, amirite?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 11:06 PM

does anyone know when daft punk goes on?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 3:27 AM

QUICK SOMEONE CALL THE AMBALAMPS

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 7:37 AM

"chemical engineering has NOTHING to do with talent"

Chemical engineering doesn't have anything do with talent, doing it at Harvard does. But what do I know when there's ADAM GREEN and his amzing talents!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 8:07 AM

>Seriously, Adam is one of the most talented songwriters of our age

dude I am no hater but this statement is flat out ridiculous by any measure. i get that he's your friend but if you believe this you're fucking delusional.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 10:04 AM

Adam Green is a songwriter. Is that better?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 10:52 AM

I love lou reed so much.

I love Adam Green's lou reed impersonation.

I love this song. So good.

Saw him open for The Vaselines and he ate mushrooms and was fun.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 2:21 PM

Yeah, Adam's fun when he eats mushrooms. Yay mushrooms!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 2:25 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2010 7:43 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 20, 2010 5:13 PM

Good for you, 2/17 @ 4:32p!
