Bowerbirds @ Bowery Ballroom in December (more by Chris La Putt)
Duo-fronted, accordian-infused Bowerbirds don't have any NYC show coming up, but they will be at the BV SXSW showcase on Wednesday, March 17th at Club DeVille, along with Here We Go Magic, The Middle East, Califone, Serena-Maneesh and the previously unmentioned, super-catchy Americana band Dawes (who are playing NYC this Friday).
The BrooklynVegan showcase is one of many, many shows happening in Austin from March 17-21st. Check out the full, official schedule at SXSW's site.
The two MP3s above are from the Bowerbirds album Upper Air, which came out last July on Dead Oceans. All tour dates are below...

I saw them a week or so ago, the live show was actually very entertaining. Nice harmonies and a noticeable difference from song to song. Definitely worth checking out at the BV showcase. You might change yr mind.

i was at highline and not williamsburg and the set list posted here seems to fit though I thought they only played 3 songs in the encore (definetely slush and take it in were two of them) though i could be wrong.
