Julian Casablancas @ Terminal 5 on January 14th (more by Chris La Putt)
Julian Casablancas

Julian Casablancas has added new dates to his Phrazes for the Young-supporting tour. One of those will be March 30th at Sayreville, NJ's Starland Ballroom. Ticket info TBA.

The shows lead up to his Coachella appearance on April 18th. With a new Strokes album on the way, they might be the last Julian solo dates for a while...

The Strokes' drummer Fab Moretti has said his band's forthcoming fourth album will be released "hopefully around September" 2010.

Working on the follow-up to 2006's First Impressions Of Earth, the fivesome are currently recording new material back home in New York.

Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe, Morretti said: "We've been recording a bunch - basic tracks are done. Now we're just running around like kids in a candy shop."[BBC]

The Strokes already have UK shows booked for the summer including the Isle of White Festival in June.

Should the Strokes be credited for their own sound or are they based on or influenced by something similar? All in All their rhythm guitar is pretty solid, right?

this blog (and many other "indie" ones you read) wouldn't exist if it weren't for The Strokes. I'm not defending their music but everyone just relax

Oh, and what about those question marks on Sunday's text in the concert poster below? No, that isn't saving a spot for a Smiths reunion or U2 debut on the Coachella stage, it's the way that Yorke presents himself as a solo star, the marquee at his Orpheum concert had the same punctuational flourish.

Julian Casablancas is very talented. However, I still wait to see in a concert in Europe. I've seen some videos just on youtube but Julian is one of the best singers of the moment. I hope he will find a good promoter this year because the latest album was not very promoted.
