Neon IndianNeon Indian

At the beginning of February, Neon Indian played shows at NYU and a packed Market Hotel. Less than a week later they played Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (after Kings of Convenience had to cancel) with an enthusiastic recommendation from their host.

Coming up, they're on to bigger things, with shows that include Bonnaroo, SXSW, MtyMx and a just-added March 5th show at Webster Hall in NYC. Ticket info from Ticketmaster (who lists the band as 'R&B/URBAN SOUL') is forthcoming.

All the Neon Indian remixes and live cuts described here are reposted above. Their Fallon performance and all tour dates are below....

it should be noted that the band has officially moved to brooklyn

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 8:05 PM

I hope this guy makes millions

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 8:08 PM

if you hope he makes millions, you better hope he creates another deadbeat summer

That shirt with the cat! I totally saw someone wearing that the other night in the East Village.

Posted by acee | February 15, 2010 9:52 PM

How much do you think the Webster Hall show will be?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 10:54 PM

$15-18

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 11:14 PM

I dislike this band...

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 11:25 PM

fggt from dallas who claims he's from austin

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 11:39 PM

what, like everyone who lives in brooklyn claiming they're from brooklyn?

it's funny how this guy was vega for years and no one gave a shit, but give him an image revamp and suddenly it's cool.

Neon Indian is the new Passion Pit. Totally fucking lame.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 11:53 PM

Yeah, i think the first post nailed it. They need some kind of super caps to say how much this SUCKS. They're like some coked up disco version of Passion Pit. And i mean that in the worst possible way. Ugh.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2010 11:56 PM

this isn't real

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 12:03 AM

How is this something, even if you don't like it, to get worked up about?

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 12:10 AM

he's not from Dallas or Austin or Brooklyn

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 12:35 AM

^ wha? obviously if you don't like it you're not gonna get worked up about it. WORD HARDER.

not a huge fan of this guys' but it's more interesting than a lot of crap going down currently. he nailed that performance.

Well I was going to check this guy's music out but since the general consensus here is that he sucks I guess I won't then.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:16 AM

It's truly stupid when people hate on bands with synths in the 21st Century....

Anyway, thanks, @3:00am (must be a GBH promoter on an off night....). Got'em tickets! Fuck yea!

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:01 AM

Good performance but they look so awkward up there. No rhythm or soul at all. Does that chick really know how to operate that Moog Voyager?

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 12:09 PM

are y'all just mad cuz you didn't get to see them at smaller venues before they got "big"
lame! guys
if you hate on this music then you hate life and summer and must be really trully sad!

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 12:10 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 1:10 PM
