Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 2:21 AM

unbelievably good.

Had a fantastic time at Sasquatch two years ago, it's an awesome venue / festival, and this year's lineup puts 2008 to shame.

Posted by daryn | February 16, 2010 2:40 AM

WTF why is this SO much better than Bonnaroo?

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 2:45 AM

SO SO SO AMAZING

I am going to have celebratory anal sex with the curators of this marvelous event.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:17 AM

omfg MASSIVE ATTACK. I just came. Out of my asshole.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:20 AM

Serious props for going after headliners that aren't ridiculously commercial and obnoxious. If MMJ plays with that symphony they're touring with it should be amazing.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:21 AM

Was Kid Cudi really necessary?

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:22 AM

kinda wish Massive Attack was Thievery Corporation. but I guess that wouldn't be as special...

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 3:23 AM

If Sasquatch started charging 10,000$ for me to go to it this year I'd start selling all my stuff so I could keep going again and again.

Pathetic....

Lady Gaga, Green Day and a reunited Soundgarden are expected to headline the 2010 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

Although promoters do not traditionally announce the lineup until spring, multiple industry sources have told The Daily Swarm that the three headliners are locked in for the Aug 6–8 weekend event. Three more headliners are expected to be included when the complete lineup is announced.

In years past, the Lollapalooza lineup has been officially unveiled in April, but consistently remains one of the music industry’s worst kept secrets. In 2008 and 2009, the Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot correctly revealed the festival’s top bookings in early March. Jim DeRogatis of the Chicago Sun Times, a frequent critic of Lollapalooza and its artistic choices (‘musical Walmart on the lake’), notably broke the embargo on the full lineup in 2008, prompting festival figurehead Perry Farrell to name-call him “Pepe Le Pew.”

The biggest question hanging over the 2010 Lollapalooza lineup is whether or not the Arcade Fire will return as a triumphant headliner after a spirited and critically acclaimed performance at the festival’s inaugural Chicago weekend in 2005. The band is putting the finishing touches on its third album which is reportedly due out in the spring.

Lady Gaga will bring the new, arena-sized version of her Monster’s Ball tour – which is set to kick-off in Manchester, England later this week – to Grant Park in August, but it won’t be her first Lollapalooza appearance. A much less famous Gaga appeared as a brunette in 2007 with a side-stage, daylight time slot, dressed in knee-high fishnets and a disco ball bikini.

2010 US festival line-up so far....

Coachella > Sasquatch > Pitchfork > Bonnaroo > Lollapalooza

APW I hope....Portishead/the Arcade Fire/the Strokes

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:14 AM

Do people camp out at this one? Thx

Posted by Burg | February 16, 2010 11:19 AM

This is definitely a solid lineup.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:21 AM

Pop Montreal will have the Arcade Fire, they'll probably be at APW too.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:29 AM

yes this is a camp out fest. this year's lineup is unreal. went last year from boston and was totally worth it. bonaroo is no longer king of festivals. i just hope this one doesnt start to get taken over by bros too

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:34 AM

now that's a lineup...

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 11:36 AM

Last year the bros started seeping in, but there were bands like Kings of Leon and Ben Harper on the lineup. This year's lineup seems a little less bro-friendly than last year. I think that the fact that Sasquatch is smaller also makes it all the more pleasant than Coachella or Bonnaroo. I can't wait.

"Sasquatch is a ridiculously beautiful site but this line up leaves me cold. Jam bands and trip hop? Really?"

"Sasquatch is a ridiculously beautiful site but this line up leaves me cold. Jam bands and trip hop? Really?"

I assume you are referring to Massive Attack and MMJ...neither of these do much for me either, but the headliners are never the reason to attend these things. The rest of the lineup is stacked.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 1:54 PM

Anybody know what is the presale code?

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2010 10:51 PM

beach house played last year.

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 12:53 AM

whats capacity at sasquatch?

Posted by Anonymous | February 17, 2010 1:04 AM

Oh, and what about those question marks on Sunday's text in the concert poster below? No, that isn't saving a spot for a Smiths reunion or U2 debut on the Coachella stage, it's the way that Yorke presents himself as a solo star, the marquee at his Orpheum concert had the same punctuational flourish.
