Really not that much more than a comedy club show when you factor in the 2-drink minimum. Aziz is totally worth it. And you don't need to deal with the hassle of going to a comedy club.

Posted by Anonymous | March 17, 2010 12:31 PM

Yeah, 'cause going to a comedy club is such a hassle....WTF??!

Posted by Anonymous | March 17, 2010 12:35 PM

Well OBVIOUSLY it's less of a hassle than a comedy club or you wouldn't have to pay a $9.15 "convenience charge," right?

I mean, there's absolutely no other reason why it would cost $10 extra a ticket just because you're using Ticketmaster, right?

Posted by Balls Malone | March 17, 2010 12:43 PM

Yeah a comedy club is definitely more of a hassle when the same amour of money includes a more intimate space, comedy, and two drinks.

I'd much rather pay that same amount for just the comedy only.

Also, you can't drink in Town Hall. Only in the lobby where they sell the drinks. So you buy 5 beers in the lobby and then have to guzzle them down before the show starts. WAY less of a hassle than comedy clubs.

That's absolutely true about no drinking at Town Hall. I recant my previous statement.

And when I said that comedy clubs are a hassle, what I meant was that Caroline's is a major hassle.

I've seen Aziz twice at Comix and both were truly great sets. I'd recommend seeing him wherever he is performing.

he's not that funny. seriously, folks.

When was that BV show he MC'd at Tonic with Cloud Cult? Like 500 years ago?

Posted by J | March 17, 2010 1:44 PM

1:19 is right: Caroline's is horrible. But then again, so is everything else in Times Square.

Azis is to comedy as ___________ is to indie music.

My vote is for Wavves: overhyped, overplayed, and a bastion of misdirected indie love

Give Aziz some love. Dude was hilarious at Mirman Fest in 08 at the Bell House. But, like many others have pointed out: 55 bucks is ridiculous. Mirman Fest was 15 bucks. Sure, Aziz got big since then. But, still.

so thats why he's the only comedian that BV posts about... he did a BV show once. Now it makes sense. I was wondering why BV only posts about one comedian. Case solved.

He's not funny. Bad delivery and bad lines. His tone of voice is annoying, and not in a good way.
