DOWNLOAD: The Clean - In Dreamlife You Definitely Need Rubber Soul (MP3)

The Clean
The Clean

"We went back and forth to the edge of insanity on [the $75] ticket price, but we decided this was the fairest price to make it, er, affordable, as well as getting Chris a worthwhile amount of money. A few details about purchasing tickets:

• Tickets on sale at noon Tuesday on Kickstarter. Info will be up there shortly. Show is 18+ which I'm sorry to say is the best we could do in terms of making it as open to as many people as possible.

• You will be limited to choosing one or two tickets per person. You will need to be able to provide the name of the other person if you are buying two. Those are the names we will have at the door and who will get into the club. Nobody can give their tickets to anybody else, you will need to provide ID and match the names on our list... [BaDaBen]

Kickstarter is promising that the ticket link for the 5/6 Chris Knox benefit will appear on their homepage at noon. Meanwhile tickets are already on sale for another show by The Clean, one day later (5/7) at The Bell House in Brooklyn.

They should have had this at a larger venue (Bowery Ballroom/MHOW) and lowered ticket prices/raised more money.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2010 12:42 PM

I didn't get any tickets, but they were nice enough to still charge me $75. Thanks.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2010 12:44 PM

if they wanted to make $, they should have had it in a different venue. and I missed getting a ticket by 1 minute - but I don't think LPR is such a great venue.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2010 12:48 PM

@Anonymous, 12:42pm: there were 500 tickets -- 125 pairs and 250 singles. There are currently 400 backers because some people donated even though they couldn't get a ticket.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2010 12:53 PM

@12:53, yeah, didn't mean to donate, but they still charged me for the ticket even though they ran out mid order.

Posted by RT | March 30, 2010 3:14 PM

i am selling a ticket
i have an in.
what is your best offer?

Posted by scalp | March 30, 2010 4:15 PM

Hello Everyone,

The Craigslist person above who was attempting to scalp is a man by the name of LEE SHAKER. His email is lshaker@gmail.com. He has the amazing nerve to try and make personal profit off a benefit where a lot of people are busting their asses with the sole goal of helping somebody they love.

Needless to say, he has been removed from the list and has no ticket to sell. Anybody else caught doing this will be removed just as easily, and we will be constantly vigilant up to the day of the show to make sure you are.

Lee's name is easily searchable on Google, try it.

Anybody else who scalps will be similarly announced, and in more places than here.

How do I know if I got admission to the show or if I just donated 75$ to the charity?? I'm nice but I'm not THAT nice - I didn't even donate that much to Haiti. The site was fucked, there is no real confirmation... If i don't actually have a ticket i will slit my wrists.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2010 9:06 PM

@9:06 i think it said they were sending confirmation e-mails out on thursday or something.
