Canadian actor Corey Haim, known best for his role in the 1987 hit "The Lost Boys" has died, Los Angeles police confirmed Wednesday.Officials said his death appears to have been accidental. Celebrity news Web site TMZ reports that, according to police sources, he died of an apparent overdose.
The 38-year-old actor had reportedly been struggling with drug addiction.
In 1987, Haim had a featured role in Joel Schumacher's vampire film, The Lost Boys, alongside Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland. The film was well received by most reviewers.[8] Besides gaining Haim more renown, the film began his famous partnership with Feldman. The performance earned him another Young Artist Award nomination as Best Young Male Superstar in a Motion Picture. In 1988, Haim starred in two more widely released films: License to Drive, a financially successful teen comedy co-starring Feldman, and the horror film Watchers. Haim won his second Young Artist Award, tying Feldman for the Best Young Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Fantasy award for License to Drive.
Haim and Feldman appeared in the film Dream a Little Dream. The film spawned the Billboard Hot 100 number one single Rock On for Michael Damian, with the pair appearing in the song's music video. That year Haim released a self-promotional video documentary entitled Corey Haim: Me, Myself, and I. [CBS]

I actually though him and the other Corey were authentically funny in their reality show last year

Lucas: I guess everybody has their own idea of fun. Some people go to football games. Other people do less superficial things.
Maggie: Look, just because you don't approve of something, doesn't mean other people don't have a right to enjoy it. You're in the band aren't you?
Lucas: Yeah?
Maggie: So?
Lucas: So?
Maggie: So the band goes to football games!
Lucas: We're totally different!
Maggie: Why?
Lucas: Because the band does not have fun there!

The Two Corey's was actually pretty hilarious, but only because they were both such train wrecks. RIP though.

It could be worse. If it was Feldman, then it would end the possibility (that exists only in my head) that there will be a TMNT sequel, where they bring back the real turtles, in the rubber suits.

Dont get lost, boys. Thank you thank you.

Drugs aren't the problem. It's some of the people that do them.

When I was 10 and 11 years old circa 1986/87, I kept BOP magazine in business due to my Corey fixation. RIP.

This is why family interventions are so important. Addicts dont see what they are doing to themselves. They need a kick up the ass to get their lives back. Going back to the drugs is too easy. Family family family, wether by blood or by invention. it's the only path to recovery.

oh, man. I think the guy who said, who didn't see this coming, had it right. So sad though! I forgot he played Lucas! RIP Corey Haim. Totally tore his picture out of BOP and hung it on my wall. You did too, admit it.

Guggenheim billed it as a performance piece and it was just an installation. Resultingly, the crowd simply waited for the "show" to start, limiting anyone's ability to freely explore the space (the ground floor was packed with indian-style seaters, and the balconies were lined with people holding onto their spots like grim death.

it makes no sense for them to deconstruct the entire TD North venue to play a show the next night ~50 miles south at an amphitheater (which probably would require a different stage setup anyway). They'd play Providence or Mohegan Sun before that (and I think those are both highly unlikely).

Rest in peace Corey. The Lost Boys is one of the best vampire-themed movie ever made. I might have been born the year this movie was released but I'll still prefer it over Twilight.
