Colin on stage with Krallice (more by Paul Birman)
Colin Marston

It's with the utmost pride that I am proud to announce that BrooklynVegan will team up with The Blackened Music Fest and Knitting Factory on May 26th for the return of the legendary Gorguts (!) with Brooklyn black metal greats Krallice, the NYC debut of the darkness that is Portal, and the return of Bloody Panda! Tickets are on sale.

FYI, Gorguts is now made up of half of the current members of Dysrhythmia (Colin and Kevin), along with John Longstreth (Dim Mak, Origin, The Red Chord) and Luc LeMay (original Gorguts). Colin of Dysrhythymia will do double duty that night, as he also plays guitar with Krallice.

Krallice ss also confirmed for another NYC show on April 18th, this time with Ludicra, Castevet, and Attake. Tickets are on sale for the BV/Osiris production.

And now between this and Entombed's NYC show I have no compelling reason to attend MDF. Sweet.

Yes, let's eschew four amazing days of camaraderie, drunkenness, weed, rare and/or amazing performances, cheap vendors, and the surroundings of downtown Baltimore to stay in NY for a bunch of bands who play all the time and two rare bands who'll be more interesting at MDF anyway.
