Earlier this week, it was listed on ticketmaster that LCD would be playing at the Fillmore in San Francisco a few days before Sasquatch, maybe the 27th or 28th of May. It has since been taken down though.

Can't wait til they announce an NYC date. Where do you guys think they will play? Multiple nights at T5? Central Park Summerstage? Prospect Park? Radio City?

It would be awesome if they did something like Vampire Weekend did earlier this year (United Palace, Webster, Bowery) but i doubt that will happen.

an outdoor/GA NYC show would be the best. Which I guess would mean Prospect Park. Or if they could get a pretty decent co-headliner, Keyspan Park (or whatever it's called now).

They're playing at my house. my house.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 12:18 PM

They will be playing Randall's Island with Arcade Fire.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 12:24 PM

What time Playing for Daft Pink's huose?

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 12:28 PM

How about another Randall's Island show with another headliner? When they played there in 07, it one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I like how all of you want to see them at huge fucking places. Give me Merc Lounge date plz.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 1:17 PM

I know it seems like a mis-match... but Belle & Sebastian announced a couple of festival dates this summer. B&S/LCD at Keyspan would be AMAZING.

(Keyspan Park is now called MCU Park, btw)

PLZ no terminal 5.

Santos Party house. 5 nights in a row.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 1:48 PM

Best LCD show I saw was at Studio B where they totally rocked the club atmosphere. They're dance music- let's see them play in a dance club.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 1:57 PM

Yeah... anywhere inside with General Admission would be good.

Posted by yeti | March 4, 2010 2:13 PM

@1:48 yes exactly what I was thinking. plus special disco version has played santos a couple of times, so james is already acclimated with the venue

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 2:21 PM

yes venue acclimation is important

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 2:29 PM

i want to be sleeping right next to him and that bottle

I've seen LCD in the basement at the Tribeca Grand, Bowery, Webster and Randalls Island. Every show was different but great in their own way.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 3:04 PM

I hope they play Webster.

and damn, I love James Murphy<3

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 3:46 PM

ATP NY

Posted by anonymous2 | March 4, 2010 3:53 PM

ATP NY would be sick...

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 4:04 PM

I'll just continue to the echo the love for live LCD. I've seen them a few times around our area but caught their set at Lollapalooza 2007 which was just before Daft Punk took the stage. Need I say more.....

Posted by jb | March 4, 2010 5:27 PM

I am predicting it will be Terminal 5 maybe 2 nights? I hope it is not though. Saw them twice, Studio B, and Randalls, both great sets.

Snore!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 7:04 PM

Bring your french bull doggies for a free LCD Sound S. hat and button.

Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2010 7:06 PM

Terminal 5 is for out of town bands that don't know any better. Dude lives here, he knows T5 blows. He won't be playing there if he has any smarts.

BV may censor this (he's into censorship these days. Who knows why-- unedited, free-speech comments are best part of this site) but LCD will most likely play secret-ish warm up shows in prep for coachella. Look for gigs at mhow on April 7 or 8. Then they're rumored to play SNL after that on April 10. Of course, things always change. But bv doesn't want you to know any of this. But it's his site, he can do what he wants.

Posted by Anonymous | March 5, 2010 12:08 AM

yes! the studio b show was ROSS.

Posted by Anonymous | March 5, 2010 3:17 PM

lol @2:54

Posted by Anonymous | March 5, 2010 3:18 PM

Guggenheim billed it as a performance piece and it was just an installation. Resultingly, the crowd simply waited for the "show" to start, limiting anyone's ability to freely explore the space (the ground floor was packed with indian-style seaters, and the balconies were lined with people holding onto their spots like grim death.

Hey ya'll we lost another one.......but I'm glad to have grown up with gangstarr as representatives of this music that has an incredible history.....hip hop is a book that wrote itself and GURU was definetly one of its main characters.....we are all getting older.....and GURU is one of the MCs that added a soundtrack to our lives in the 80's and 90's.......the NAMES,PLACES and FACES come to mind when I hear a GANGSTARR track.........I thank GOD that he allowed GURU to shine in his short time...........REST IN EVERLASTING PEACE GURU
