Metric @ Stubb's in Austin during SXSW (more by Tim Griffin)
Metric

Metric will follow up their performance at SXSW (where Emily Haines also sang with Broken Social Scene) with a series of Canadian shows this April. They return to Texas in May, and then head to New York and a few other cities for select shows including Terminal 5 on Sunday, May 16th. Fanclub presale for those dates is going on now. Tickets for the NYC show go on AmEx presale Wednesday (3/31) at 11am. General sale starts Friday, April 2nd at noon.

They're also on part of the Lilith Fair this summer, and part of those dates have been announced too (Metric are only playing two of them so far). Those, all Metric tour dates and videos of the band at SXSW are below...

seen this band far too many times to count, but absolutely hated seeing them last year at terminal 5. nothing against the band, but the venue just killed it for me.

sick of people whining about terminal 5. i've never noticed anything bad about it.

The complaints stem from our memory of a time when the bands that now play Terminal 5 used to play Webster Hall. Of course, back then, we complained that the bands playing Webster should still be playing Bowery.

Don't they do the same exact setlist at every show? This sounds like it'll be an exact repeat of last year's bro-fest at T5.

The gap of dates between 5/2 and Metric's 5/16 T-5 show suggests that Emily might be in attendance at the BSS show on 5/7 (I hope).
