Pavement in New Zealand - March 1, 2010 (via)
Pavement

Pavement played the first show on their reunion tour today (March 1st) in Auckland, New Zealand (which is 18 hours ahead of New York). It was the bands first show since 1999.

The band continues to Australia and Japan, plays what's currently their first US show at Coachella on April 18th, then goes to the UK and Europe. They'll play more North American shows this summer - those include Pitchfork Fest, Sasquatch Music Fest, Broken Social Scene's Toronto Island Fest and finally, four nights in Central Park.

Two versions of the set list from the inaugural show, two pre-tour videos, and all tour dates are below...

Elevate Me Later is LS2, as in Loretta's Scars 2.

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2010 1:11 PM

Awesome that they are covering thier whole career.

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2010 1:28 PM

fuck me in the ass this is too cool for school

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2010 1:51 PM

They didn't play The Hexx but played Here instead. Last song of encore was Conduit For Sale. As noted above LS II is Elevate Me Later. Otherwise the printed setlist is correct. Definitely no "Loretta's Scars" (one of a few omissions that I regretted, but really, really can't complain).

In other news HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT ROCKED.

I saw 3 of the reunion shows. All were bad. They sound incredibly underwhelming and sloppier than they used to be.
