"Last night we saw the "loudest band in NYC"-A Place To Bury Strangers. One of my favorites" - Chris Buzelli

"A Place to Bury Strangers and The Big Pink made a perfectly complimentary pair last night at Webster Hall. Both bands draw from the same influences, '80s post-punk/noise pop such as New Order and the Jesus and Mary Chain, but their distillation produces opposite results." [NY Press]The tour also hit Maxwell's in Hoboken two days earlier. More pictures from the Manhattan show, below...

these photos are really gorgeous, and fitting for the fuzzy overwhelming kind of bands that these are!

Both bands are ... to me ... the best new bands out there. Saw them both at Maxwells and they both killed it.
Let's hope they both play Siren Festival.

I've seen ABTPS both headline and open, and they kinda suck as an opener. They are one of those bands that set the bar so high that everyone who plays after comes across as disappointing

Bands that wear their guitars really low and hunch forward while strumming really fast is my favorite thing. Such intense brooding body language. Makes me wanna clench me arse in solidarity.

saw them in Newport, KY last Monday. A Place to Bury Strangers was agonizingly loud. Great stuff, though.
The Big Pink were solid as well. Great sound.
