Voivod play Nokia Theatre with Kreator tonight. Catch them in Austin at the free BV/M For Montreal party on 3/20.

The Girls at Dawn pull double duty tonight. They share the bill with The Sandwitches and Golden Triangle at Monster Island, and they play with Nude Beach, Total Slacker and others at Don Pedro.

The Blacklisted / Tiger Flowers / Chambers show kicks off at Cake Shop at 5pm. Flyer below...

Wow! That Goes Cube show really sucked. Talk about bland heavy metal with horrid bland yelling vocals. Waste of money beyond belief and Union is some place I'll never give a second chance for again.

What is with the E and D chord crap after hundreds of bands of done that but you pretend to invent it with conviction.

Ive played music, written, and done volunteer work.

Now I wasted my money on some mediocre band so I get to say what I think. You understand there kid?
But there is thankfully many real bands with originality in this city still.

Nobody is original.All this shit has already been done years ago.Doesnt mean it still cant be good with a new twist.Goes Cube is a great band and im sure any music you have written is a complete failure.

Goes Cube sounds like Neu Metal with an indie image.
Kinda like Incubus or some other 90's metal mainstream band.

Give me some hits like Coal Chamber, Limp Bizkit and Staind, or Goes Cube.

Nu metal bands often feature aggressive vocals ranging from melodic singing, guttural screaming, and shouting from various forms of metal, hardcore punk douches.

Titus were great. Definitely their best stab at being a full-on indie/punk E Street Band with the new members, who were a little nervous, but I thought they added a lot to the songs. In time their stage presence should get a lot better. Titus played 90 minutes...

Everything on Grievances except: Arms, No Future Pt 1, Camus

Everything on The Monitor except: Theme from Cheers & To Old Friends and New

And Patrick performed a solo cover of the 'Mats song "Treatment Bound."

I think they should learn Theme from Cheers most... A Pot in Which to Piss was the weakest of the new songs live. They really hit their stride towards the end with Hampton Roads => Titus Andronicus Forever => Four Score and Seven.

One of the best Titus shows I've been to, probably the best in a big venue (other than the Music Hall headliner last summer).
