"Last night, Webster Hall was packed with audience members camped out on the floor and conversing in French or English, sometimes both. Fitting as Charlotte Gainsbourg is fluent in the two languages.Charlotte Gainsbourg concluded her first-ever tour, that included Coachella, at Webster Hall in NYC last night. Charlotte's first-ever live shows just took place in January, and were also right here in NYC. More pictures from Webster Hall below...Opener AM was delicate, cool and vintage, grafting folk and rock with Brazilian lounge sounds. The New Orleans artist has just released his sophomore album, Future Sons and Daughters, and plans to soon be touring with the French electro-pop band, Air. The set closed with the song "Darker Days," lyrically, a sophisticated song frosted with AM's warm and pacifying voice." [NY Press]

Thanks for posting this BV. Knew I could count on you.
Webster Hall sux, but this show had all kinds of goodies!
1. Charlotte seems way more comfortable/confident on stage compared to shows in January.
2. Set was longer, more varied.
3. "L'Hotel Particulier"!!!!!!!!
4. "Set Yourself On Fire" segued into "Jamais."
5. Band and overall sound was fantastic.
6. Breathtaking rendition of "Just Like A Woman."
7. "AF607105"
8. "Couleur Cafe" as finale!
9. Oh, did I mention ... freaking "L'Hotel Particulier"?
What a great, great show. Glad to have braved the rain.

i would buy a t shirt if the performing artist cut themselves and bled on it...that would be worthwhile.

FANTASTIC homage to her father Serge. Her rendition of "Couleur café" was beautiful!

the crowd conversed in at least a dozen languages besides the obvious french and english. i specific like those frogs who start talking to you in french, assuming we were all french there...

Webster Hall is terrible and esp. not a good fit for CG. Show would have made more sense at a place like Joe's Pub or Town Hall. I was way back toward the bar and thought the sound was pretty bad. In a way I guess none if it mattered since the crowd was totally enthralled by her going into it. I wish she did more of the Air stuff. Even though I love Beck, I think her style kinda clashes with his.
