Ticketmaster is not being screwy today. LCD Soundsystem Webster Hall tickets aren't that hard to get.

Tickets are on sale at 10am for the Hold Steady show at Beacon Theatre.

Tickets are on sale at 10am for the acoustic Willie Nelson show at Grand Ballroom.

Tickets are on sale for the Goldfrapp show at Hammerstein Ballroom.

What a day! First I score my LCD tickets for Monday night, THEN I get front row for Willie!! Think I'll play some lottery later too.

$73 to see Willie perform with no band? Way more expensive than the Beacon/RCMH shows.

"$73 to see Willie perform with no band? Way more expensive than the Beacon/RCMH shows."

You obviously have no idea how concerts work or bands get paid. Radio City has about 6000 seats. The Grand Ballroom fits 1200. Willie still wants to get paid about the same amount. The tix at Radio City are $50 to $130. This is a smaller venue. The price is about the same on average.

Ticketmaster/Live Nation is playing some even more sleazy games than they have in the past. They simply have no shame. I went to the box office at Irving to be told there were no Killing Joke tix left, and then tried the website the next day and of course they were available, but there was a $12 "convenience charge" tacked on per ticket. The convenience charge I presume is because you can't get to the Box office, but I'd been there the day before, and told there were no tickets, so the "convenience charge" is simply a convenient excuse for Ticketmaster / Live Nation to screw you over.

I called them up and was told that once I bought my tickets, I'd basically had given up all rights to contest the situation and had agreed to their conditions and blah...blah...blah...

Christ, what a relentlessly sleazy operation....

Perhaps a call to the State Attorney General's office might help??

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
