LCD Soundsystem

A post about last night's Webster Hall show is coming, but I just noticed that tickets are on sale for a third LCD Soundsystem show at Terminal 5 (May 22). The first two (May 20-21) are now listed as sold out. Meanwhile a 2nd set of pictures from the Music Hall of Williamsburg show (which I happened to have ready to go), continues below....

^^ jealous much?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:18 AM

this band deserves it all. I just wish it was six nights at Webster instead of three at Terminal 5. Last night rocked.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:18 AM

he's so crazy, mang. Drum stick in your ear. So, so crazy mang.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:22 AM

everyone is just really sensible. sensibly putting a drumstick to his head. sensibly wearing white T's and being a little overweight. Why not?

Drunk girls!

MHOW show was much better than last night at Webster Hall!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:26 AM

amazing show. period.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:26 AM

James Murphy is such a bear!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:32 AM

Agreed 11:26.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:34 AM

I'm not trying to criticize..because they're a great band, and I had a great time last night...But that said I expected more. The show definitely had some really high points, but the set was so up and down...and noone was dancing, what the fuck is that all about New York? You can still look cool and dance at the same time people...

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:37 AM

MHOW show was laaaaaame

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:39 AM

James Murphy is gay, right?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:42 AM

Everyone was dancing near me, 11:37. The balcony looked a little stiff though.

Posted by Brian | April 13, 2010 11:48 AM

Gay for sweet dance beats.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:48 AM

I was certainly dancing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:49 AM

Isn't the balcony VIP? They're always a bunch of stiffs. People were kind of swaying near me, with the occasional outburst during tunes like friends, losing my edge, etc. I moved back toward the bar by the end of the set, but someone great and daft punk def got people movin. Good time, but not transcendental.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:55 AM

Listening to the new album now. Some pretty tasty beats.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:55 AM

Anyone else see moby there? I was kicking around the back and I look over and I could have sworn it was him standing right there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:55 AM

leak, 11:55? pwease?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 11:57 AM

Yes Moby was there chillin.. Who gives a shit? lol

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:02 PM

oh I love the inevitable "the brooklyn show was better" comments. shut the fuck up Webster Hall was fantastic.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:02 PM

Those of you who were at Webster last night may have heard Murph's sincere plea not to leak the new disc. Respect the man.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:06 PM

EMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by BTW | April 13, 2010 12:06 PM

A Dixie Cup is more interesting than Moby.

Posted by brooklyn | April 13, 2010 12:06 PM

Pat Mahoney was outstanding on the kit. Love the set up with him up front, right side. Killed it all night.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:08 PM

I am sitting in my office rocking the fuck out to the new Album. Faucet started leaking in the LCD Soundsystem Kitchen this morning.

Posted by I am dumb and so are you | April 13, 2010 12:12 PM

When I looked over and saw moby I was wondering if he was thinking that he will never be as awesome as James & co.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:14 PM

well, the brooklyn show *was* better.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:18 PM

james murphy is the most likable musician i can think of. im trying to think of others (frontmen) and am drawing a blank

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:25 PM

new album is great, i was at webster, had a great time, could definitely see how mhow was better, but still nice to see them in a reasonably not-huge venue. for those who have the new album, "i can change" was incredible last night.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:40 PM

setlist?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 12:48 PM

"Yeah" was pretty sweet. But Mr. Murphy did ask that no one pirate the album until after it gets released. He even got down on his news and begged. I think we can do him one solid.

Posted by anonymous2 | April 13, 2010 1:30 PM

I heart James Murphy! Last night's show rocked.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 1:51 PM

I completely understand the request not to leak the album & would normally not do it that way, but I feel justified listening right now seeing as: 1) I will be buying the vinyl anyway & 2) I had to eat 2 tickets last night due to the fact that when they went on sale it didn't say that they wouldn't be starting until 11pm. Just recouping my loss.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 1:56 PM

MHOW show was better but that's like splitting hairs.

Yeah at Webster was definitely more intense.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 1:58 PM

So the only difference btw MHOW and Webster was they opened up with Pow Pow....Webster got an extra song?

How long was Webster hall show?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 2:21 PM

They went on last night around 11:05 or 11:10 and finished up around 12:50 or 12:55 by my watch. Longer than I expected.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 2:25 PM

Yes Third show at T5 means prices on ebay will tank! Will get in for $10 or so a few days before on ebay! Woohoo!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:02 PM

@3:02

Not sure about that...I think a lot of people out there will be looking to go at least two or three of them...although they are also up against a few other big shows on Thursday and Friday (including Pearl Jam at the Garden).

Another great band playing that Thursday and Friday is a reunion of The Bogmen at Highline Ballroom. BV, not sure if you listened to them back in the day, but would love to see some coverage of that one.

I digress...LCD is the fucking TRUTH

Posted by The Dude | April 13, 2010 3:20 PM

already tons of hipster dbags talking about listening to his leaked album on twitter. burn them at the stake!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:22 PM

floor was SHAKING last night!
Thanks again LCD!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:26 PM

floor was literally shaking last night. I felt it and just stood still to see if my mind was playing tricks on me but the floor was taking me up and down on its own. and only the people in the front right were really jumping and dancing. if the entire venue was jumping and dancing i wonder how the floor would have moved.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:35 PM

only listened to the new record once, so far so good, like the way Dance yrself clean builds up towards the end. One touch is also very sweet, but I think I can change could get them some airplay.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:52 PM

I just find this funny because I sold 4 tickets to the May 21st show last night for $300.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2010 3:59 PM

Hallelujah, thank you jesus (or James) for this third show on a Saturday night, could not go the first two T5 nights nor last night and I missed the MHOW sale, but am in for this one.
